Cookware feels extremely solid and well manufactured, outstanding customer service
Pleasantly surprised at the beauty and solidity of the cookware in this set! I recently changed from gas cooking to induction cooktops. I needed a new set of cookware that is induction compatible. I decided that, as long as I was buying new stuff, I would look for a “nickel free” solution. Hence, I found HomiChef. They are the only company I found that makes special stainless steel, nickel free. To my knowledge, stainless steel cookware is usually made with three metals: iron, chromium, and nickel. Most cookware is 18/10 stainless, or 18/8 stainless, which means the metal contains 10% nickel and 8% nickel, respectively. Many people have some allergies to nickel, and I suspect some nickel will leak into your food from cookware (My experience is that coffee stored in stainless steel thermoses tastes pretty terrible after a relatively short period of time.) HomiChef cookware is made with 21/0 and 18/0 stainless steel, no nickel. This set of stainless cookware is absolutely beautiful! It does require more attention and care than 18/10 and 18/8 stainless. The nickel makes the stainless steel harder. Hence, nickel free stainless will scratch more easily than standard stainless cookware. Pay attention to the instructions that HomiChef provides on how to care for your new cookware. For my impatient self, I didn’t read all the instructions first, so I stacked my new frying pans one on top of the other. I also used my old sponge (I thought it was scratch free, but I wasn’t sure). As a result, I have some very shallow scratches (cosmetically not pleasing) on my cookware . These scratches are very minor and do not affect my cooking at all. They are just annoying, and were completely avoidable. I bought myself some wooden cooking utensils, a new sponge, and a better way to store my new cookware. I do not stack my pans on top of each other directly. Instead, I use reusable grocery bags, which are made of cloth or a recycled version of plastic that feels like cloth. I tried using small towels between the frying pans, but I am impulsive and impatient sometimes, and I found that I would yank out the frying pan that was on the bottom, without being careful (yes, another cosmetic scratch). So I use bags. Way easier. Also, we are remodeling our house, and I don’t have much kitchen space. I found a unique way to store the HomiChef set: I stack the cookware in the reusable grocery bags inside a plastic storage bin. I included pictures, in case someone is in the same small space situation as me. I also included a picture of the plastic scrubber sponge that I use to clean the cookware. I can use that sponge to clean stuff that is really stuck on the bottom of the pan. I soak the pan with some hot water and dish soap for a few minutes. Then scrub the pan. I may only get about half the stuck food off, but I just rinse out the pan and repeat the process. I have found that cleaning stuck food in stages is more effective and way less frustrating. I have also included a pic of a page from HomiChef’s pamphlet that came with the cookware. You can see by the detail that HomiChef believes in their products, and really wants its customers to have a positive experience with their cookware. Lastly, but extremely important, is HomiChef customer service. This cookware set comes with a six year warranty, and from my experience thus far with HomiChef, I have no doubts that they will honor that warranty. Customer service responds quickly, and always respectfully, to all questions and concerns, and also offers other advice that you didn’t think to ask, but turns out to be very helpful!!! I hope this review is helpful!

great nickel free pans, buy them, you will be pleased
best set of pans I ever had. we had the ceramic set from. big name brand company. and while I dont think they degraded , I'd rather not worry about non stick particles in my family's foods. Along those lines, these pans have NO NICKEL in thrm that csn be leeched into your food. I've used them many times, easy to clean, so far nothing sticks that cany be wiped(not scrubbed) off with a sponge. They look great, clean easily and work as they should. Nice weight, they feel like quality.

Great quality at a great price!
Love, Love Love these! Nice weight to them and keeps their shine. I wanted a durable and quality stainless steel cookware set without the nickel. I can't wear jewelry that has nickel in it so it can't be good for inside of the body either. They work well and are easy to clean. I have not tried them in the dishwasher yet because I prefer to hand wash and dry so that they retain their shine.

Great, but know before you cook.
It’s great knowing that the neurologically toxic nickel isn’t present in this cookware! But know that you will have to scrub it intensely to remove all metal residue before your first use. I had to scrub following the interior circular grain in mine with steel wool in order to get the drying w/ white paper towels to stop turning grey. Also these don’t do well in the dishwasher, as they get a rainbow stain inside of each one. I wash mine all by hand now, but no regrets!

Best cookware set ever !!
I absolutely love this cookware set ! It’s heavy duty solid construction and it looks absolutely beautiful. Very shiny! The handles are very sturdy and don’t get hot. They give you good instructions on how to season your cookware and how to keep it looking great for years. It’s also 100% stainless steel with no nickel, 18/0 rated. This is the perfect cookware set and I’m extremely happy with it!

Perfect and beautiful
OK, I did so much research trying to find the perfect cookware set and I landed on this set. Even above some of the more trendy brands that are non-toxic. I love that this is nickel free and no worrying about any chemicals coming out. You just need to heat the pan for about two minutes and drop water on it once that water droplet floats around the pan , you know it’s ready and it’s nonstick at that point. I have not had any issues getting these clean. I do dry them immediately after I wash them just so that there is no water spots.

Excellent quality
We upgraded to this cookware set and are very pleased. The pots and pans are well built and on the heavy side. I seasoned the cookware with coconut oil and we are amazed that nothing sticks to the pans. Clean up only takes warm water (no soap) and a little rubbing. The pans heat fast on medium heat. Some things we learned: 1. Season the pots and pans per instructions before using! This is a must!! 2. Do not use metal cooking utensils, they will scratch the nickel free stainless steel cookware. 3. After hand washing the cookware, wipe down the insides with a light coat of cooking oil. This maintains a shiny non-stick finish. 4. Do NOT use high heat cook settings!!! Medium is high enough to get the job done and the cookware will not get heat damaged! 5. The pot and skillet handles remain cool to the touch but the metal handles on the glass lids do get hot so use hot pads 6. We stacked the cookware for storage and used pieces of rubber shelf liner between the pots and pans to prevent the cookware from getting scratched. 7. A little care will keep the cookware looking new for years!

Worth the money. You will have to season pans and takes sometime to become non stick. Will do if you follow instructions. Not very good for eggs but we have noticed improvements in health since ditching Teflon cookware.

Great set. Better than I expected for the price. Cook really well and heat up faster than our old pots.

Très bonne qualité! Les casseroles et les poêles conservent la chaleur. Elles sont efficaces. Je suis très contente de cet achat.

I love those pans. Need some care at the begining to seal it but cooking using thise pans is very nice. I would not recommend to go max heat and start with lower temperature. Food cook evenly and tests much better. Only one thibg I need to oear using those pans is pancakes. Well nothingbis perfect but I would buy it again. 0 nickel is my priority so pancakes can wait.
