wll this work on finding a leak on a fiberglass boat?

It can find 'trapped moisture' as would be expected if WITHIN the fiberglass there is a wetted plywood laminate. Certainly the moisture in that '(mapped) area' would have a source, usually a deck fitting for instance. Be careful on the 'analysis,' as it may read non-structural (decorative) wall covering on the other side. Also, try to perform studies on a 'very dry' day.

As to what I understood, Pinless is a bit less accurate gives you moisture readings percentage based on humidity so if there is something as a metal behind it senses the coldness of metal and adds it as moisture vs pin one is dead spot on which senses the humidity as the pins go into drywall, wood etc Hope this helps
