Motorcraft PW464 New Water Pump

My go to for water pumps on the 4.6's I swap into F100's. These are affordable and factory, its a no brainer.

This water pump fit my 2011 Crown Vic perfect. It came with the rubber seal/gasket so no need to buy the gasket or use gasket sealer. Install was pretty quick. Put a bucket under the water pump to catch the antifreeze. Loosen the small bolts holding the pulley to the old pump with the serpentine belt still in place so the pulley doesn't spin. Use your 3/8 ratchet to drop tension on the serpentine belt tensioner and move the belt off the pulley and remove the pulley. Use a ratchet to remove the 4 bolts holding the water pump in place - they are 13 mm. Pull out the old water pump - you may need to pry it out a bit. Clean the surface where the new water pump fits. Put it in place with the weep hole facing down, and reverse the process and add antifreeze.

This is a genuine Ford part, freshly made 04 Aug 2023. Perfect fit and solved running hot while driving but not at idle for 04 CVPI. Yes there is rust on the impeller but some abrasive pad wipes it right off before install. No seeps or leaks post repair. Highly recommended Canada-made Ford part.

This is an exact fit for a 2006 CVPI. There was some light rust on the impeller but it came off easy with a wire brush. The pump arrived in the original Motorcraft packaging and works perfectly after cleaning and installation.

I received mine today - it had some very minor rust on the spot welds on the impeller (most likely from sitting in a warehouse in PA's humidity for several years!), but it was just surface rust. It came right off with a quick cleaning with Vapo-Rust and it was good as new. It's an OEM Ford Part - and I would definitely recommend it. I gave this review 5 stars - others are complaining about the rust, but I've gotten these from the dealer in the exact same condition, and it's only on the impeller welds so it isn't a problem in the least.

Direct replacement oem Ford water pump. Comes complete with O ring. Just make sure it’s the right one for you. There is a long snout, and short snout. This it the short snout for 02,03, and 04 mustang gt’s. For 02 model year is where you have to double check. Ford had a mix bang with the water pump for this year for the change over with the water pump.
