Do exactly what the description said, good value for money, easy for use, functionality near to perfect, real accuracy, no to loud. I recommend it.

I think a joiner/carpenter with a magnet on a string wouldn't need this but for an amateur i found it spot on. I suggest its frequently returned as people buy it, find the studs, put up whatever it is they need to find the studs for then return it rather than it not being any good.

Unreliable, only slightly better than a stab in the dark, mostly due to random false reporting, you need to plot out across a large area, and then make an informed guess. Tried changed batteries for different brands and new, to no avail. Our walls are plasterboard with a very thin plaster coat, mostly ¾ of an inch. Overall it’s a very disporting purchase.

Have used this a few times now & it is great at identifying exact location of studs. It got a little confused one time (all lights illuminating across the wall). However, when used on the opposite side of wall it worked perfectly - so maybe there was something setting it off. Overall very pleased & would recommend over cheaper less accurate items.
