Perfect replacement for the original plastic tensioners
The MSR camring is a perfect replacement for the plastic tensioners that came with my tent. They do the job without losing tension, add little weight, and will not break when stressed. I used one last year and decided to replace the rest of the original tensioners. Solid, reliable product. Recommend to all.

Work Great! Way too spendy.
These things work great. They seem to be significantly more forgiving, i.e. functional, across a wide variety of cordage than the flat variety of tensioners. They adjust easily, are lightweight and very sturdy. If you don't lose them you will probably have them forever. All that being said, I took off one star for the price, which is outrageous for a couple of aluminum circles with holes drilled into them.I have since discovered the generic version of these. Do a search for "bluecell tensioner" to check them out. I haven't personally tried that brand but considering the simplicity of the product, I don't see how they could be much different. If you try the bluecell version, leave me a note and let me know how they worked out for you.

Much better than spring loaded cord tensioners!
The MSR CamRing tensioner is far superior than spring loaded cord lock/tensioners! These little gizmos hold VERY well, even in strong winds, and are super easy to adjust! And, there are no springs to fatigue and fail!Highly recommended and worth the price!

Not worth the price.
Bought these tensioners for a specific use where I wanted something that looked good but didn't have to hold a lot of tension and they worked fine - no connection with the outdoors or tent guying. Tried them with increased tension and they didn't hold very well. Plus - they are WAY too expensive - stick with regular tensioners that work better and are less expensive if you are going to use them for guying.

MSR Cam-Ring Cord Tensioners
These have made my life so much easier! Tent setup is much faster and easier with these. They are so lightweight you don't even notice them. I highly recommend using these.

Good Design, Small Size
PROS: Logical Design that was conceptualized well. Cool colors with rugged coloring to prevent discoloration or deterioration.CONS: The information provided on the Amazon ad didn't convey well the size of the individual rings. They were a little small for most common cable lines.

I'll never go back to the old way!
These rings are a must-have. I switched out all of my Big Agnes lines and couldn't be happier. They're easy to adjust, even with gloves on. An absolute MUST for every line on your tent.
