It fits, it works, quality suspect
Bought this to fix Grandpa's laptop. Quick and easy. Just don't throw away the OEM battery connector cable. After a few months, unfortunately the battery lifespan is already starting to show. Battery monitors show the battery "health" in the 90% range. So quality is suspect, but $30 for a battery vs a new $700+ laptop, is definitely shows some value.

Bought 3 of them only the 1st worked for a few months the rest not at all
The first one I bought worked fine for a few months. After a few more months of inactivity I got it out to give to my son to use for school and the battery was completely dead and wouldn't charge. I thought it was because of the inactivity so contacted Amazon who said I needed to contact the company. It's a company from China so there was no way to contact them. I bought another one. It arrived quickly. It arrived at 60% charge but wouldn't charge beyond that when plugged in. I read the instructions and realized I was supposed to drain the battery to 0% then charge to 100%. I did that hoping it would fix it but it stopped charging completely at 0%. Thinking I messed up by not draining it in the beginning, I bought a third one. This time, I did exactly as the instructions said and let it drain all the way to 0% then tried to charge it. It is still at 0% and will not charge at all. That's 3 bad batteries in 5 months. I just wish I could find a way to contact someone in customer service, or find another company who makes a replacement battery for this Dell laptop. So aggravating!

Price is right. Arrived in pristine condition and installed without issue. BIOS recognized it and it immediately started charging. Will update after it's been in for a while. M17 Alienware laptop.
