I previously purchased Sunforce but gave these a shot as I was looking for something in black. Not sure why Sunforce doesn't manufacture their 1200 lumen solar powered in black.Honestly speaking, these are junk. Buttons that control the settings (time-duration, sensitivity etc) snap easily and after 1 month of use, the 18650 3.7v rechargeable batteries no longer charge. I have 2 units, one which I never used, so I was able to identify the culprit as to why my 1st set wasn't working any longer.I'm not plugging Sunforce, but the 2 I bought over a year ago are still going strong, no ongoing maintenance or troubleshooting whatsoever.Avoid these at all costs....

Smaller than expected. Light output was less than expected. other reviewers were optimistic in their evaluation of this product. Good for smaller security applications. stairwell, 30ft walkways, etc.

Have had to make several adjustments it keeps failing to work. or will flicker like a strobe light

Best solar light I have used. Really like the way you can angle the 2 outside lights in different directions.

If you're looking for a solar-powered, no-wiring, easy solution to an outdoor lighting, then this is the lighting unit for you.I have 3 of them around my house now and one at my parent's home. The amorphous-type solar panel really does absorb light even in dim light conditions - which I have in spades on the north side of my house which is occluded by trees and is always in the shade. The unit I placed there works just fine.These units also have COB LED lights, the latest in LED technology. The 3 separate lights on the unit rotate independently, allowing you to spot the lights just where you need them, and the cable from the solar panel to the light unit housing the batteries is plenty long enough to be able to place it wherever is best for you. The controls allow you to set the motion detection sensitivity, the LUX it responds to, and the time the light stays on when it senses motion.The only criticism I have about it is they don’t use lithium batteries for power storage, which will maintain a charge in lower and higher temps than other batteries do and will take more charging cycles, too. But the nickel batteries it uses work well enough to do the trick, and their longevity is furthered since they are slowly trickle-charged all day long via the sun. I just prefer the power and sustainability of lithium cells. However, the on-board battery pack can be easily and cheaply replaced, and installing the solar panel and light unit is a breeze.The light this unit emits is quite true, bright and powerful, and would accommodate a wide range of needs. I'm very happy with these purchases at the price offered by Amazon..
