It’s more like the silicone mats used for baking sheets. **Q: So you can use this in the oven up to 450 degrees?** A: I do not use this in the oven. I only use it on the table for mixing and rolling dough. **Q: Does the grip work on wooden surface?** A: I haven't tried on a wood surface, this mat is awesome **Q: Does it curl up over time?
