Quality built and functional.
Quality build. Good value for the money. Tedious assembly but good (illustrated) instructions. It’s best to do it with a partner. Assembly time was one hour. The file cabinet is visually appealing and worth the price. Once assembled our filer was very sturdy and the drawers closed properly. The clarity of instructions is good if you are a visual learner. However there are not written instructions which would be essential to some. There is an option during or after assembly, for two sizes of hanging files, legal and letter. I chose letter and the hanging files fit perfectly.

Easy and high quality.
This was pretty easy to assemble and works perfectly. Nice and heavy / sturdy and great for the price. Lots of space inside, and you can adjust it to be letter size or A4. It doesn't have a lock, but I didn't need one anyway. The only issue I had was the little screwdriver it came with was poorly made and fell apart, but you can just use a standard Phillips head screwdriver. Everything lines up well and drawers close beautifully. Great item.

Particle Board- looks great
This is NOT a steel filing cabinet as the description suggests. It lists steel, plastic, particle board; suggesting steel as the largest component. It is 98% particle board, with steel and plastic drawer guides. 100% assembly required but assembles easily. Tools provided. It is sturdy.

Very impressive File Cabinet - great value!
I read reviews like everyone else, and inevitably there are bad, even nightmarish reviews on all products. I don't do a ton of reviews, but I was so impressed with this product, that I thought I should relate my experience. I'll stick to the facts: *The packaging was adequate. No damage, or close to damage, in my case. *All the required parts were included. There was nothing missing. They included a few extra's that were even labeled as "extra".. a nice touch. *All the screws, hardware, components, etc. were clearly labeled. *The instructions were typical of any assembly type product. You have to orient the parts >exactly< as they are in the pictures during assembly,,, I use a magnifying glass to get all the details. *The assembly went smoothly,,, all the parts fit well together, and everything lined up. The only (minor) glitch I had was the file holder rods.. they are designed to screw into the drawer fronts. 2 of 4 rods could not be hand tightened. I had to use a pliers to turn them in. *The end product is very attractive, and functional. *I worked on the file cabinet part of 2 days, but I would estimate as others have about 2 hours, maybe a little more. But no frustrations during the process IF you follow the steps precisely. I have done quite a few assemblies like this over the years, and I'm very familiar with how these types of products are put together. That certainly helped. I once had a desk that took me the better part of 2 days to put together, (and did have some frustrations with it) that desk was a significant challenge,,, comparatively, this file cabinet was on the easier end of the scale to put together. At the end of the day, this is a sharp looking, very functional file cabinet. Lastly, no, I did not receive any promo's, or any other incentives on this. Just an everyday person sharing my experience.

Missing instructions, missing pieces, missed the boat.
Before I had purchased this item, I wish I had read more than the AI summary of reviews. If I had done so, I would have saved myself a whole lot of frustration and aggravation, all of which were addressed repeatedly in the reviews. The sheer number of negative reviews (1 * or 2 *) would have been a warning of what was to come upon receipt of the product as follows: Upon opening and unpacking the box, I determined that there were no instructions provided in the box I received. Assembly was not intuitive. Multiple reviews indicated that many shipped items were missing the instructions. The reviews I read said nothing about missing instructions, only complaints that the instructions required hours to complete assembly. I didn’t have that problem until I contacted Vasagle requesting a copy of the assembly instructions. When I received them, they were not only twenty pages long (for a two drawer rolling file cabinet), but were vague and confusing. Nevertheless, I (foolishly) decided to try my luck. Oof, bad mistake. About ten pages in, and several hours later, I discovered that in addition to missing instructions, one of the five wheels included in the box was not the one that was needed to complete assembly. Arggggghhh. I checked more reviews and sure enough many reviewers reported the same thing happened to them: missing parts! Oof oof, second mistake. But having so much time and manual labor invested in this file cabined, I contacted Vasagle again. While finding that two necessary items were not included was frustrating, I decided to request that Vasagle send me the correct wheel rather than return the whole thing to Amazon. I also offered to return the incorrect wheel. Of course, that should have been unnecessary, because if i had been given the five needed wheels, why would I need an extra one, However, because Vasagle had already sent me the missing instructions, I believed that requesting a new wheel was the right thing to do. Oof oof off, third mistake. Returning everything was to no one’s advantage, mine, theirs, or Amazon’s. And yet… Rather then send the missing wheel so that I could complete the assembly, they claimed that “I cannot pull up any order information using the [Amazon] order number.” While they had already been given more than enough information to fulfill my request, they nevertheless insisted that I provide the following redundant information: “-Your order receipt/invoice, which includes the order number, product condition, and sold by party. -For replacement part requests: your shipping address and a photo of the wrong wheel that you were sent.” While this demand was somewhat infuriating, I nevertheless politely and withing twenty minutes of their response, provided the information requested, including three pictures of the useless wheel. They already everything except the pictures. Oof oof oof oof, fourth mistake. Shockingly, I did not hear from the, at all that day. THe next moring, at 2:54 am on December 4, they emailed again, claiming that ”The attachment you sent does not contain your order details.” That was simply false. I have no other words. I responded at 3:01 am, and have heard nothing. THis review is being written several days later, and I still have not received the needed wheel. I had no choice but to return the item. A loss for me, for them, and for Amazon. This should never have happened. I was not at fault. I did nothing wrong. They failed to include assembly instructions, failed to include a necessary part, and failed to provide a reasonable response to my reasonable requests. I for one will never again do business with Vasagle. I leave the reader to their own decision. You have been warned. Proceed at your own risk. There are plenty of other options on Amazon. And read as many reviews as you can before you proceed. There was plenty of warning.

Affordable cabinet assembly
The amount of pieces was a bit daunting at first, but it went together very fast and the completed assembly is just about perfection. I love it! I make jewelry and had run out of space. This cabinet solved that problem and provides more than enough room in it’s 5 drawers. It is very well made, very very affordable, compact and pleasing to the eye. It holds all my jewelry making ‘stuff’ and keeps me easily organized. A great addition to my household.

No Help but figured it out
Nice and easy to put together however there was a manufacturing screw up. The top drawer corrugated drawer did not line up with the sides and the drawer would not shut. A few 3/16 adjustments and shaving the back cardboard it shut and now matches up nicely. With no phone number or instructions to fall back on is the reason it got three stars.

Nice rolling file cabinet
This comes un assembled so it took me a couple hours to put it together.. but the instructions were very easy to follow and I love the results. I am very pleased with this rolling file cabinet. It comes with the tools but I used my battery operated screwdriver for faster assembly.
