Perfect for Students but DO NOT USE GEL PENS!!
The media could not be loaded. I'm am going to address the other reviewers. Those that say it smudges easily are right HOWEVER THEY ARE NOT USING THE RIGHT PENS!!!I am a student in college and use these every time I need a sticky note. I have bought them once before writing this review so I know how they work. Now let me tell you I had a hard time with them at first but now I use them like nobody's business. My number one rule/tip for using these if you're going to buy them is 👏DO NOT USE GEL PENS!!!!👏To use these you need to understand they DO NOT work with GEL PENS because if you use gel pens they will NOT WORK AT ALL. They will smudge like CRAZY and even sometimes come off completely with gel pens. When I started using them I did a test with gel pens because I thought that if I just left them out they would eventually dry and I could touch them but after 2 hours it still smudged because it wasn't completely dry. So I am saving you the time and I'm telling DO NOT USE GEL PENS. For reference, I used Muji 0.38, Paper Mate ink joy gel 0.7, Pilot g2 0.7, Sharpie s-gel 0.7, and more that were gel and they DID NOT WORK. Right now to write on them, I'm using BIC Round Stic in black because I found that right now that works best (work amazing with a black posca pen). The problem with the BIC is that since I don't use a lot of pressure it comes out more gray than anything because I like to avoid indentations (this is a personal preference). If you want a super black color I have not found it but am still on the look. If I find the perfect one I will edit this post. The adhesive is strong which I like and even taking it off multiple times it still sticks, however, be careful when taking it off because some paper is thin, and since the adhesive is strong it might take the paper with it when you take it off. Also, depending on the surface some of the adhesives will come off when you take the sticky now off and will leave a residue but it rubs off with no problem. ( I haven't had much of a problem with it though, I stick one in the front cover of the textbook in the picture and since it is super soft and sensitive it left residue but it came off if I rubbed it a little.) If you plan to write directly on the pad be cautious on how much pressure you use because like other sticky note pads you will be able to see the indentions on the other ones behind it and it takes a couple of sheets for them to leave. My best advice is to take the sheet off then place it on the table or flat surface write on them then place them in your book or on the paper to avoid indentions. In my opinion, you do get great value from the price because you get like 50 pads in just one order. They last for a long time unless you use them very often. They also work great with posca pens if you're an artist.I will be buying more and recommending these to other students because they are clear and you don't need to take the sticky note off just to read the passage under it.I also find it hard to write with gel on these. (Like in the picture)Also, the person that it's like writing on plastic is right but that's because paper can't be see-through so it has to be plastic. If you're coming here because you ordered the ones from Muji and like it and are trying to find similar ones because you don't want to pay to shipping cost (that's how I found this one) this is a good replacement, not the best and you might even be disappointed with these because these are more glossy than matte like the Muji ones (I grew in love with these the more I used them but they don't compare to Muji). If you're a perfectionist or have OCD with lines and don't like lines on them in the pad, then this one is not for you, but that's only if it really bothers you. In the pad, you can see the adhesive, and the way you can see it is by the lines it shows only when together on the whole pad. When you take it off the pad at applying it somewhere the lines disappear so they will go away after applying it somewhere. (You can see in the picture that there are lines on the adhesive side and you can see that after I applied it in the book they disappeared) but if the lines in the pad don't bother you definitely buy them :)I hope this helps other students and I tried to be as specific as I could to help others so sorry if it's a long read. Good luck with your studies. :)

In love!
These are amazing! We use them for so many things! For positive messages and romantic nights they are amazing for leaving around the house! You can also stick them to paper and restick the same ones over and over again! They seem to never lose their adhesion! Everyone I’ve shown these too fall in love with them!

I love these Sticky Pads
I love these sticky note pads, they are much better than the smaller version. They stick well, and the sticky substance does not transfer from the previous note paper resulting in balls. It is a perfect size for jotting down notes and layering it in my planner.

I love these sticky notes
These sticker notes are pretty cool. I like to be able to make little notes and stick them in my book or planner without completely covering up whats on the actual page. They don't work well with some gel pens but regular pens are great. I've also used a few different gel pens and they didn't smudge. Maybe the gel needs to dry for a longer time period. This is only relevant for people who use only gel pens. Will definitely purchase again.

Better than I expected.
I love how these stick and are so easy to move from place to place with no messy residue left on the page. I am very pleased with the transparency. I will purchase again.

Love these for creating movable elements in my art journal!
I’m definitely going to get these in a larger size also! So far they have worked well w/ acrylic paint and gel pens.

Useful product
Haven't used many yet ,but they worked really well on storage items and inside a cupboard door. Stays on but can be removed with no sticky residue.

Works excellent with permanent markers and others mentioned in review
I LOVE these! They’re going to be perfect for writing in textbooks I want to re-sell later on or annotating graphic novels and art books I’m so excited. And I got WAY more than I thought I was going to.The adhesive is super good. I can unstick and restick many times. The only issue which many have brought up is pen and pencil don’t work. Sharpie, Posca marker pens and Copic markers seem to all work very well on these, however! Even papermate markers work well. That’s what I used on the stickies you see. The hearts and writing are in sharpie “Not dumb” is paper mate, and the big pink heart is posca markers. Even the glitter posca markers work wellI’m in love with these and WILL be buying more. I’m even sharing with friends so they can get in on the addiction of annotating without ruining the books!!I play D&D and though I don’t usually shy away from writing in my books writing in a D&D Manual feels sacrilegious. These are PERFECT for notes in those books!

Hard to write on with gel-pen or marker BUT...
I could not write on these with a "gel" pen.Felt tip marker smudges.Stickers stick to it.It is like a smooth "frosted" plastic.Sticks very well to paper, fridge, wall.Very cute in a journal to "blur" the image beneath it in a creative and mysterious way!

Ink smudges VERY easily!
So I've tried this now with a fine tip Sharpie as well as a regular ink pen and NEITHER stay on the pads without smudging as soon as you touch it. VERY disapointed.

Meh
These are cute and transparent as stated, however they are not easy to write on. They smear because they are not paper.
