The spirulina culture is produced and tested in Germany and is grown in accordance with strict testing guidelines that meet US and EU standards. Each lot is lab tested and passed for chemical and bacterial presence, as required by the FDA and other governing agencies worldwide. In summation, Ellie's Best blue spirulina extract is made from spirulina grown in the exceptionally clean and natural environment of the Hainan Island.
