STAR WARS The Black Series Rey Skywalker Force FX Elite Lightsaber with Advanced LEDs and Sound Effects, Adult Collectible Roleplay Item,F2014

I somehow missed seeing this in "Rise of the Skywalker" and had already picked up a different version from a local sabersmith shop. Hasbro FX is the best of all the lightsabers, best quality and best engineering, best prices, too. On top of all this, the designs are "screen accurate". See "Rebel Legion". Not a big fan of the cloth wrap but can't bring myself to cut it away. Good scrolling effects and sound effects. Good grip and uses rotating gear ring to turn on and turn off, regular AA batteries to power. My second favorite lightsaber after my first, a Hasbro FX Kit Fisto from back in the day. NOT FOR DUELING. Uses an LED string, yellow in color. Flaps of emitter fold down so no blade plug needed.

I recently have found a passion for LightSabers. Compared with the hilts at Galaxy's Edge, this is superior. I would not recommend this for doing Light Saber Tricks or dueling. However, this is a very accurate representation of Rey's Light Saber from the last scene of "The Rise of Skywalker". I now have other advanced Light Sabers for doing tricks.

I don’t own a Galaxy’s Edge Saber but own many Force Fx Sabers including this one. With all the comparative reviews on both brands that I have done Galaxy’s Edge sabers based on reviews seem to edge out (no pun intended) most of the Force FX Sabers by a little bit in the accuracy and quality department. Till now. The biggest draw about this saber is the unique activation switch! Which in all honesty makes this Saber great! Galaxy Edge’s version of this saber does not have the now iconic twisting neck switch & instead has a standard switch. To me that is shocking. Hasbro was smart enough to perhaps notice that Disney wasn’t going that extra step and it gave them the perfect opportunity to go that extra mile that Disney did not. So here is what I like, Love & hate about the Force FX Black Series Elite Rey Skywalker Light Saber What I love: -Heavy Hilt: Drop this on your foot it’s gonna hurt -Twist activation: The attention to detail is great you even get a flash of blue light as it activates just like the film. What I Like: -Finally Unique sounds: Now I know this particular Saber requires sound effects different from the standard Hasbro effects but its still a breath of fresh air! As mentioned above one of the things keeping Disney’s GE sabers ahead in the competition is they have different sound effects for each saber. Hasbro FFX sabers with the exception of the Rey Skywalker, Dark Saber & Kylo Ren sabers all have identical cookie cutter sound effects. To me this has always been my biggest gripe with Hasbro. What I hate: -Quality of Sound Effects and lighting effects: Now I should preface this by saying I’m technically spoiled here. I have about 8 Force Fx sabers but I also invested in a Top-tier $500 Custom saber by Saber Forge and it is mind blowing how superior the lights and sounds even color and vis FX customizable options (Blade flicker etc) are with their top tier option. By comparison alone Force Fx in the sound and brightness department is garbage! Now I know if FFX were on par they too would by in the $500 price range so I understand there is a compromise. But I challenge FFX to increase the quality of their onboard hardware and mix up their sound effects to better the overall product. In the end Rey Skywalker Saber is a great addition to my growing collection. If you are still reading this review you’re awesome!

Great saber. Heavy handle, well made, sturdy blade and connections. I am dinging it 1 star because the blade is a little hard to install and I thought it was broken at first because the saber wouldn't turn on because the blade didn't sit just right on the emitter. I am very glad to see Hasbro switched back to AA batteries from the rechargeable pack. Rechargeables go out and lose charge, but AAs are easy to replace. The power on is really cool, probably the best from all the other sabers. The quick flash of Green and Blue to Yellow is really neat to reproduce the effect from the movie. The fabric grip is really nice and doesn't seem like it would rip off easily. It is nice and heavy but the saber is nice a straight. Even being detachable it still is sturdy and hits well against other sabers without detachable sabers. See my video review attached for a better look!

I don't know if you're like me but I've been looking for a faithful, screen accurate version of this lightsaber for years. I don't know when this came out but THIS IS IT. it's gorgeous, detailed and heavy. It's perfect. It has the switch ignition. The light windows, the green ignition flash and the prongs on the top. It's Rey's saber. I will keep an eye out for it, some reports have said it dies, so I have till June to see if it's a bad one. So far It is perfect. Get this now. Don't buy the Galaxy edge one it doesn't have nearly half the great things this one does. I'm so happy.

This is an excellent representation of Rey's saber. Love the fact that the saber igniter matches the film....it's a rotational motion rather than a switch like a traditional saber. Multiple colors are visible pre-ignition, inside, then the yellow emits. The saber is heavy; quality materials and quality build. Will like it even more as it gets used and the colors of the fabric become more weathered-looking. Would buy it again, gladly.

Finally went ahead and bought Rey’s Lightsaber and I am so glad I did. Amazing addition to the collection!! Happy with the quality of the saber. Decent weight to it. Great display prop

Absolutely amazingly built! Looks just like the one in the movie. Good quality sound. Pretty heavy which i think it’s nice. For my first lightsaber, it’s honestly all i could hope for!!

this actually managed to arrive with a 'mint' display box. I was completely surprised and expected the usual horrorshow with amazon that seem to enjoy destroying display packaging deliberately for the fun of it then act like they dont understand what you mean by 'display' cardbacks or graphics on boxes etc. This was not cheap at $262 CAD but when I looked around and saw what the sabers/display boxes looked like on other sites I decided to gamble and see what comes from amazon. The seller is legit and after reading their homepage they specialize in collectors who understand that the display package is worth just as much as the items inside (especially for STAR WARS). Shipping is terrible, which damaged the box. Item self is really nice. This is the heaviest saber ever made. Blade also can be used for other models.
