The functionality of this is great. It comes with 2 ear tips: a clear, and a flesh colored on. I found the flesh colored to be FAR more comfortable than the clear tip. But it came with both. Which is awesome. It works with any radio that uses the Kenwood 2 prong connector.I have 2 gripes with this: first, the ear tube is a bit too long. With the base clipped just below my collar, the tube has a tendency to bunch up.Secondly, the coiled wires. The wires themselves are tiny, but are incredibly sturdy. The coiling....I don't know how I feel about them. I can run the mic down my sleeve, but I cannot clip it onto the cuff, because the coiled wired pulls it back. Clipping onto the watch works. What works even better is clipping the mic just below the top button on my shirt. They sure beat having wires that are too short, that's for sure. Just understand that if you want to run the mic down your sleeve, you're going to have the keep your radio under your armpit.

For the price, this earpiece microphone really does the job. I purchased it to go with my Baofeng UV-5R PLUS. The purpose is privacy. I don't want my students to hear the trouble spots around campus. I also bought one for my Principal to go along with his radio (I think its a motorola). Works extremely well, earpiece sound is clear and the feel is comfortable. The mic works like a charm and puts out a clear sound. Well worth it!

I found this earpiece to work better than the one supplied with my radio. I use it while volunteering for special events such as parade staging or parking lot security so I have it on for long hours and haven't had any discomfort. It does take getting used to talking to people while someone else is talking in your ear.

I purchased this item for my BaoFeng UV-5R Portable Radio and found the volume to be extremely low. I used it for a day with the volume turned all the way up and then the earpiece stopped working altogether. That was on a Friday. I requested a replacement on the Amazon site and received it on the following Monday. They also provided a return label that I used to drop the failed unit off at UPS. The replacement unit exhibited the same low volume issue. The ear mic combination that came with the UV-5R provided plenty of volume. I solved the problem by replacing the ear piece with one from a Motorola ear mic combination. It now works fine.

Got this for a paintball scenario recently to go with my BaoFeng UV 5R+ radio. Worked well. Clear sound for both transmit and receive.

Very good product you can hear clear and the person can hear you clear

this will work well when used for public events, but, may need to get the throat mic for field exercises to ensure stealth in tracking (recon) during "paintball" battles. LOL.

I used this out in the field with my chest rig. Worked great and had no issues with its functionality or wearing.
