Q: We have a few bugs flying in there that look like gnats? Small black bugs. Any way to get rid of them without hurting the polies?

If you have fed the rolies vegetables, I would remove as you can and the fruit flies will eventually go away if they have no food. The rolies will eat some of the gnat eggs that are still in there. When adding water, apply directly to the dirt with the water dropper. If the chia leaves are wet for too long, it will also attract gnats.

Q: What can you feed the rollies other than the Chia?

Any kind of fruit or veg really, they eat just about anything decaying. We found half a potato works best and lasts the longest for them

Q: How long do the Rolly Pollys live?

I think it depends on a lot of factors (feeding, temperature, etc...) but our group made it several months before we released them to live outside with the wild ones once the weather warmed up.
