Used it on my 2012 Jeep Wrangler JKU for my first time brake bleed/flush ever
I never done a 4 brake rotor, brake pad, wheel stud replacement, and brake bleed/fluid flush before in my life. What could go wrong right? LOL. Despite using a 4 pound hammer for hours to get seized rear rotors off, I was most nervous about a brake fluid flush. I wheel my jeep frequently and notice the last time when I was at the Ozarks, in a perilous predicament i might add, the brake fade was getting worse and worse. So after watching a few youtube videos about the MV6835, I decided to try it on my jeep. This could not be easier...seriously... i literally made dinner, ate, watch some videos on my phone while I waited for the steady flush of brake fluid. I was constantly checking to see if the reservoir bottle was doing its job of refilling the brake reservoir and it was. I think it took about a hour to do all 4 corners (Passenger rear, driver rear, passenger front, driver front in that specific order). I had no spills, and the container can hold atleast 1 1/4 brake fluid before you have to pour it out. What I did notice is that you need a decent air compressor hooked up to it give you the maximum suction power. Also when you see a crap load of bubbles, most of the time it is the bubbles created by the suction and not from your brake lines. I just used some silicone and covered the brake bleed nozel and the hose adapter to create a seal but i dont think this is necessary. So long story short, this thing is expensive but holy cow am I impressed and it works. I used one hose to drain the old brake fluid from the reservoir and the other hose attachment connects to the caliper. Also on my jeep, i couldnt use the bottle adapter that you attach to the brake fluid reservoir to make sure your brake system doesnt go dry. I just used the nozzle end on the refill canister and it balanced well by itself. After I finished, I was bedding my ceramic brakes (there are very specific brake pad bedding in procedures btw) and i did not lose any pedal pressure. In fact, it was better than OEM stock which I can't believe my non mechanical skills pulled it off! I saved myself $200+ by doing this myself! One last note, when you do a complete brake flush, you want to press and hold the brake pad pedal (not pump but hold) atleast 10 times. And hold the pedal down for 2-3 seconds at a time to build pressure with the jeep engine on. There is nothing like crapping your pants when you forget to do this and go reverse on a steep driveway...and your fiancee's little toyota is right behind you.I hope this helps someone debating whether to buy this expensive kit and if you are a jeeper.... /wave :-)

Brake Bleeder and MORE
I bought this to bleed the brakes on my Dodge Ram when I upgraded the rotors and pads and found it to be so easy to use that I exchanged the brake fluid in my wife's Honda too. It truly makes brake maintenance a one person job and I didn't even use the automatic fluid adder (the rate of fluid transfer can be adjusted so that you can stand at the reservoir and fill as needed while you watch the old fluid in the clear tubing change to the color of the new, clean fluid). There are loads of YouTube videos showing people using the machine so that is a good way to start if you are hesitant to purchase the bleeder. Now for my favorite part of this machine. Look in the picture and you will see a clear, flexible plastic tube attached to a rigid plastic tube. Using this setup I have effortlessly flushed the power steering systems of our cars and changed the oil in all the yard care machines. With this setup and pair of cheap nitrile gloves I did three small engine oil changes with not a drop spilled or greasy hands. Pour whatever used/dirty fluid is in the Mityvac container into an appropriate container and recycle.Everything about this bleeder is quality. The plastic parts are thick and sturdy and the metal parts are chrome plated and solid. You will need a decent compressor to use this. I use a 25 gallon compressor and it runs continuously while I am using the bleeder, but it works fine and provides decent vacuum. I don't think I would try it with anything smaller though...pancake type compressors probably would not work.In summary:Easy to usePerforms many tasks related to draining fluidsAllows jobs to be performed with nearly zero mess/cleanupRequires a decent compressorLots of video available showing people using the bleederAutomatic fluid feeder included, but I have not used it

works great!
9 years later and this bleeder is still going strong. Although the suction hose has hardened and lost all flexibility: so I'm now looking for a new hose. Used this for years when I was a auto technician I've now switched careers but still use it from time to time. Would buy again!

Outstanding!
An excellent piece of kit. Very east to work with. A real income enhancer.Complete with all the attachments and adapters you may need for all common jobs. Makes an annoying two-person bleed job fast and easy. Great for spotting collapsed and restricted lines.Vacuum is strong and easy to control. Doesn't need a lot of air. Very quiet.Only caution is that it will draw out a lot of fluid quickly. Check levels often or use the refill attachment (can be very messy) for large jobs.
