An Experience That Will Stay With You Forever
A film that is unashamedly unique, Ratatoing is an adventure that no viewer will ever forget. It will make you laugh, it will make you cry, and it will make you shed tears of pure joy, unlike any experience I've ever had, including the birth of my children. This film is pure ecstasy, and I believe that if you're on the fence about this one, you should give it a shot. The animation quality alone should be reason to purchase this film. Its lovely, vivid 3D graphics put the likes of Pixar and Disney alike to shame. It's very consistent and decided in its art style, but the aforementioned art style holds a sort of whimsical and nuanced aura, one that escapes the trap of looking like every other 3D graphically animated movie. Forget The Incredibles, forget Frozen, forget Luca - Disney could certainly step up their game, and they could easily do so by learning a little from our friends behind Ratatoing. The story is magnificent. Marvelous. A wonder to behold in all fashions. It's straightforward at first, and it leads you to believe that all is as it seems. As other reviewers have mentioned, however, you must remain vigilant as you watch, as the plot twist could rock your world more than you're ready for. Prepare yourself to watch this movie. I can't say a whole lot else about the story, as the movie is 44 minutes long and just about any single detail would completely ruin the wonder of the universe they build for you, but suffice it to say that you will be completely invested before you know it.In short, those were the best 44 minutes of my life. I envy those of you who have yet to see it, as I couldn't even list everything I would do to experience this masterpiece for the first time again. It still brings tears to my eyes (tears of joy, I should clarify) with each viewing, but nothing quite compares to the first time.

a true piece of film history
ladies and gentlemen. this right here is the peak of the film industry. I was fully intoxicated by the avant-garde animated art style. That's when the plot finally aggrandized and I was completely stupefied. You could have lived a thousand years of isolation trying to predict the plot twist and you would never even scratch the surface of what actually transpires in the movie. I was so bewildered that I actually had to pause the movie so that my existential crisis didn't dive too deep inside of myself. Even pausing the movie was surreal. It's almost as if life paused with the movie. I felt as though I had actually become a cinematic tangent quantum. The effects are still wearing off and I haven't been able to watch the movie in several years. I spent the following seven years afraid of what outside of my house actually looks like. Every single day and night I live in misery because I became fully aware that happiness is never achievable. I realized that human life has absolutely no meaning and that no matter what I ever do, it is of complete unimportance and in years from now, no recollection of my existence will prevail, meaning that if I died years ago, died now, or die sometime in the future it will not matter whatsoever to anyone. But, then again, the fact that I'm living doesn't matter either so I might as well stick around for awhile, living in complete isolation, condemned to a life of traumatic memories and a completely corrupted sub-conscience.

A True Work of Art
Finally. A shimmer of light in the darkness that is the film industry. A break from the mundane and mainstream. This genre-defying, groundbreaking animated movie is one for the ages. This movie is truly iconic. As a film connoisseur, I appreciate the little details about this movie that may go unnoticed by the casual viewer. The voice acting is incredible, featuring a star-studded cast. The animation is beautifully done and keeps the audience entranced. I bought this movie to play for the children at the daycare that I work at and they love it. When it comes time to play on the playground outside, several of the kids will get together to play “the silly mouse movie game”. They run around screaming “precisely” and “we have to get the ingredients”. They make blood sacrifices to Marcel Toing by hanging each other from the monkey bars. We’ve lost a total of thirty-four children to this ritual, but we don’t discourage their creativity and imagination. This movie is amazing. 5/5 stars.

Trash
Ratatoing is an action-adventure stealth video game produced by Konami Computer Entertainment Japan and released for the PlayStation in 1998. The game was directed, produced, and co-written by series creator Hideo Kojima, and serves as a sequel to the MSX2 video games Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, which Kojima also wrote and directed.Metal Gear Solid follows Solid Snake, a soldier who infiltrates a nuclear weapons facility to neutralize the terrorist threat from FOXHOUND, a renegade special forces unit. Snake must liberate two hostages, the head of DARPA and the president of a major arms manufacturer, confront the terrorists, and stop them from launching a nuclear strike. Cinematic cutscenes were rendered using the in-game engine and graphics, and voice acting was used throughout the entire game.Metal Gear Solid was well received, shipping more than six million copies, and scoring an average of 94/100 on the aggregate website Metacritic. It is regarded as one of the greatest and most important games of all time, and is often seen as the game which helped popularize the stealth genre. The commercial success of the title prompted the release of an expanded version for the PlayStation and PC, titled Metal Gear Solid: Integral; and a remake, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes was later released for the GameCube. The game has also spawned numerous sequels, prequels and spin-offs, including several games, a radio drama, comics, and novels.

Fantastically bad
If you like bad movies you'll probably like this one. Amazingly poor animation in places and a really shoddy plot-line. My favorite part is the 'Transformation sequence' which takes about 3 minutes and makes multiple use of the same shot. Lovely.

Ratatoingtoing
Ratatoing is an instant classic unlike that Disney ripoff ratatouille. Disney should be ashamed for a such a bad copy of the legendary ratatoing
