In the item description, this material is identified as 'wool' but I don't believe that it is. I am very sceptical that there is much if any actual wool (ie natural animal fibres) in it as it lacks the softness of wool, has a very tight and consistent weave and on conducting a burn test on a scrap of the material found that it melted rather than producing ash. Nevertheless, it is otherwise a good quality material and is quite attractive.
