Just one looong night!
Paige has been dumped and is looking for ways to get even with Wyatt (who never deserved her)! Enter Esme, a beautiful bartender whose kindness surpasses that beauty. The secondary characters were also well developed as was the plot. Esme and Paige’s journey was lovely, even with their first fight. Esme handled that potential relationship ruiner with grace and love. I enthusiastically and unequivocally recommend this and any other works by this author. A very good read. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series. Thank you Peace

Immature and not much of a story.
I liked the idea of the book, but is was poorly executed. It read like a horny teenager who loves the f-word wrote a first - time novel. Seriously, as I read this, I kept thinking to myself - there is no way this is from a best-selling author. There was no subtlety, a really poorly conceived storyline, and a main character, Paige who was not that likable. There was no substance. This book has made it to the bottom 5% of novels I have read this year, and has put this author strictly in my 'never read again' list.

Great Love Story
I really enjoyed reading this story. The characters were intriguing and entertaining to say the least. The story line was great and made you feel the characters emotions especially Paige. I was disappointed there wasn't more detail descriptions of the characters. There was more detail on Esme looks, but not her age, or height. There was a passage that possibly she was the same age as Paige, but conflicted with Esmerald stating she was 22. Well it was still entertaining and I loved the ending. I'm hoping the 2nd book gets to talk about their wedding plans and then a bit more. I definitely recommend this story to everyone that likes a good chase even if the purseue is the pursuer.

Overall a good story
I liked the concept of getting back at an ex and accidentally catching feelings, so that story line appealed to me.What I didn't enjoy about this book was the needless f-bombs or the constant references to how great the sex with the ex-boyfriend was. Paige was hung up on him way longer than I wanted her to be..and I found that out of line with how well her relationship with Esme was going

Interesting story
The blurb had me from the start. Once I started the book it was a bit of a slow read for me. I put it away for an entire week before picking it up again. I'm not sure what it was about it. I loved the whole idea, so the plot was good and captivating. The writing was good, which always plays a big part for me...I guess then maybe for me it might've been that I had mixed feelings about Paige. I generally don't care much for first person narrative but sometimes they can be really good. I guess the key is really liking or relating to the character whose voice your reading. To be honest, I liked Esme better but we didn't get a deeper insight into her personality like I'd hoped. I loved the two of them together though and overall I would say this was a good read.I'm definitely on to the next book in the series now.

Better than I had expected
SAPPHIC BOOK BINGO: favorite trope, pan and bi characters; UNICORN: safer sex (possibly more categories)When I first read the blurb, I thought it was about hetero woman trying to hook up with another hetero woman out of revenge, but I was relieved to find out their orientations were in the queer spectrum. It wasn't just a spontaneous decision because there was a long-time attraction for the MC for the woman she was after.I liked the second MC more than the first. She seemed stronger and more "put together" than the other one. Plus, as a bartender, she would have dealt with more people and their problems, and I think it made her more open-minded and discerning about things. That helped after the revenge plot was revealed. It was a fairly good read.I did have one aggravating issue, though. A woman can't receive "head." It refers to part of the anatomy of a pen!s, and therefore, does not happen to women. I don't know where or how anyone could refer female or@l sex that way, but it is anatomically impossible for a cis woman to receive it.

My First Book by This Author…
…but definitely not my last! What a romp.I was surprised at how Paige reacted about that a**hole Wyatt. I guess I don’t know much about pan sexuality. How she could still have feelings for that jerk after being with Esme is beyond my comprehension.I’m about to start the next book in the series, Just One Week. I hope it will be as good as this one, and as funny.

How can you mend a broken heart?
Paige decides to use revenge to mend her broken heart. Her ex Wyatt is fixing to pay!! A simple plan to use Esme to get even. Is anything simple anymore? Always gets complicated when the feelings get real. What to do? No spoilers here but I will say the chemistry between Esme & Paige had my kindle smoking. I definitely recommend this book! Now to read book 2!

Loved it!!
I loved loved loved this!! I'm mad at myself for finishing it so fast but I just love everything this author does. Paige is such a lovely character and I really rooted for her and her honesty, and Esme was gorgeous and I could see why Paige loves her. They were both really kind to one another, which I loved. And there were some beautiful tender moments that I really enjoyed, as well as times I laughed out loud! Such a great setting and story

Such an enjoyable read!
The writing style is so relaxed and natural, it reflects exactly how people process thoughts and feelings. The story is straightforward with straightforward characters and little angst. There's great humour running throughout the tale and it's ordinariness actually makes it quite unique for the genre. I will definitely read more by this author.

A Good read
Hard to put down. A most enjoyable story demonstrating positives can come from apparent bad things. Moving onto book two now.

Good read
What Paige did was really messed up, but I like that Esme can forgive herI really can't understand why she got so upset if she was over Wyatt, and it got me thinking if she was really in love with Esme, I don't know, it felt like she still had feelings for him and Esme was just a "step"I think the steamy scenes could be more explored, I don't mind reading more pages with that kind of content :D
