Achilles Tendonitis Brace

Excellent. Comfy and affordable. Not just for pain relief, but amazing for grounding as well.

After purchasing (and returning) several other braces that didn't provide the support I was looking for, the Vigorwise brace worked great. While the jury seems to be out with regards to whether magnets actually help with healing, the brace is easy to put on and works very well. I will be ordering another set as I plan to wear them when I play tennis to provide support to both of my Achilles tendons (which I've injured over the last year or so).

Ok, I bought this not knowing much about it, but thought I would give it a try. I have been having issues with an Achilles being sore. I got these and wear it during my runs. It straps around my leg just fine, it has a slot the velcro goes through so it attaches easily. I'm not sure if its doing anything to help my Achilles or not, but I'll keep using it just in case.

The idea of minimizing stress to the Achilles tendon is good but where this strap can be positioned to make that happen is merely impossible or very slim! This may be okay for gastrocs and soleus injuries but not if you are trying to protect the Achilles that is located distally. Imagine putting this over the Achilles or on myotendon junction then run, with ankle movements and Achilles tendon going concentric and eccentric , it will shorten the tendon translation and possibly cause more strain. Unlike when using a chopat for tennis elbow, it works good because the lateral epicondyle the area you are protecting is located proximally, stress of the wrist extensors are somewhat minimized.

I love this strap and if you use it properly you’ll love it too! If you have had it on for too long and your body is telling you to take a break take it out your legs up and ice or use a tens unit. I believe the bad reviews are from people that might be over using it. Perhaps it is too tight!? Don’t tighten it too much!

I strapped it on, the fit was tight, My ankle hugged with all its might. “Achilles Band,” the box had said— But now I felt some legal dread. It beeped! I froze. “Oh what the heck? Am I on parole? Did I bounce a check?” Neighbors stared as I walked past— Like I’d escaped jail just a tad too fast. I checked the app—it tracks your stride, But I still felt watched from deep inside. I’m not on house arrest, I swear! I just want less pain when climbing stairs! Yet funny looks can’t dull the thrill— This band is boss, it fits the bill. My ankle’s happy, pain is gone, Even if I look like I’m out on bond. So buy it now—don’t walk, just run! (It won’t alert when you’re having fun.) A healing tool that’s built to last— Even if you look like you broke your past!

These are pointless and will make your situation worse. Get away from this whole mindset of rehabilitation. Or, you can buy it and watch as nothing gets better outside of maybe some placebo effect.

Si me ayuda a compensar el esfuerzo que hago con el Tendón de Aquiles, en algunos ejercicios. Aunque no abarca completamente desde el talón hacia arriba.

Después de unos minutos se va aflojando aunque solamente estés sentado. Por otro lado, mi ortopedista me recomendó no utilizarlo pues podía lastimarme más que el beneficio
