A great budget option for an 'almost' barefoot shoe.
After using the much more expensive shoes of the VivoBarefoot brand (£100+ per purchase!) and a few others for a number of years I thought I'd give these a go as a cheaper alternative. On the whole - VERY happy! I've been wearing them a few times a week for a number of months now and they are doing very well. The pro's:Nice design. Fairly plain without anything too crazy going on (as some cheap Chinese shoes are prone to have!).This means they don't stand out too much or appear to be as cheap as they are.Durable. Tho the finish and attention to detail isn't at the standard of a more expensive shoe, they do seem to be very durable. After months of wear including plenty of walking, driving, rain, mud the show near zero signs of wear.Very flexible and zero drop heel. The barefoot element is well covered. There is zero drop between the heel and toe and the sole while slightly thicker than something from Vivobarefoot is still very slim and flexible.Light weight and very breathable. The cons:My only complaints are 1: the forefoot / toe box area isn't as wide as I'd like on a "Barefoot" shoe. That said, it's still better than a regular shoe and 2 - the colour. Advertised as black... Definitely various shades of blue! Conclusion: If you're interested in a cheaper alternative to the premium Barefoot brands, some spares to knock around in that don't cost £120+, or you're interested in trying Barefoot without committing too much money then these are a great purchase. In short - Buy some!

Excellent for running.
I've run for over 15 years, up to and including marathon distance. I've always paid a fortune for decent running shoes with cushioning, motion control and/stability and in all fairness they've served me well. But having read a lot about barefoot/minimalist trainer running I decided to give these shoes a go. I normally wear a size 9 shoe and therefore have always worn a size 10 trainer for running, to give a thumbs width at the end of the toebox, so I decided to order a size 9.5, which were way too big. I returned them and re-ordered a pair of size 8.5's, which are excellent. I've done 2 or 3 5k runs in them and the "feel" of running is totally different. My calves have ached more after running and as do some parts of my feet, but they don't feel like injury aches, just aches from parts of my lower limbs that I haven't used for a while. If you are thinking of getting a pair of these for running, do it !

Find the right size
The sizing is a bit strange. Normally i'd take size 75-8 UK size. Of course these are supposed to be worn snug. I started at 7.5, then got 7, then got 6.5. There really was very little discernible difference between any of them. I kept the 6.5 and returned the others untouched in original packaging no problem, good for Amazon. Liked them so much I got an extra pair, so 5 stars in the end.

Just like wearing nothing on your feet.
I am about a size 11. I bought a size 12 because I don't like anything too tight. These things just are so light. And when they get wet on wet grass they dry out so quickly. And they wash very well. I am very impressed. I like running on grass in the park, and these are the best things I have found to wear. Far better than a pair of trainers that get wet soggy and smelly - and take ages to dry out.

Almost as good as the best you could buy. Highly recommended
These were a pleasant suprise. Inexpensive, but extremely capable.I have deducted a star for the following reasons:1) ON TARMAC !! The sole is a little hard for wet hilly tarmac. I was running around in the hills above Barcelona in January. Wet and steep. I experienced slight slip when climbing which made me a little nervous when descending.ON SOFT GROUND the grip was excellent and the sole appears to be quite durable.2) I've begun to notice the odd bit of wear on the uppers where the material is thining. This is no bad thing for the price - but since these shoes can compete with the big boys I thought I'd mention it.OVERALL IMRESSION: VERY GOOD!I've had plenty of high end trail shoes that have cost a lot of money. These compare favourably at a fraction of the cost. I will be buying them again.General comments1) good fit2) very light3) genuinely flat4) copes with water very wellHighly recommended

Surprisingly good shoes!
I bought these as a cheap introduction to barefoot running shoes as the big companies seem to be very expensive. I wasn't expecting much, but after a few runs and over 100 miles of tarmac walking, I can say they are grippy on road/pavement surfaces, have held together well and are extremely comfortable. I should mention the soles are VERY thin which, as a barefoot newbie, I wasn't used to. I chose to add some flat thin insoles for a personal preference. I found the sizes to be completely accurate - not half a size out i.e. I bought 8.5 and received a pair smaller than any size 9 I've ever had. Something to bear in mind. Very well made and easy to clean shoes with grippy soles for the right ground - I'm sure they'd be very slippy on wet fields and mud.

Sizing!
This is my first barefoot shoes. I really love the sensation when my feet land on the ground. Well made and excellent quality. Best you can find from the market. The only complaint is the sizing. I'm 6.5 but the description said I should buy half size down. Please don't do that. Buy the exact size! Its now a bit too small. I thought it was okay but when I start walkinv, I can feel there's not enough space for my thumb. Pain in the thumbnail. However I've already try it outdoor so unfortunately I don't think I can exchange it anymore. It's a bit of pain to buy shoes online. Overall the quality is good. I hope one day I can see this in shoe store and could try it on before buying it.
