Wentworth Prison: The Complete Series [DVD]

The best women's prison drama of this generation. It is a perfect blend of drama, horror and humour. It's been a.honour and a privilege to watch these amazing Australian (and Kiwi) actors entertain me for the last 9 years. If you don't already own the seasons, then this boxset is absolutely for you. Shame there isn't a blu-ray option, but a DVD one will do.At £100, it equates to £1 per episode, and to me that's worth it!

Unlike the other reviewer who left 1 star because he disagrees with the price my review is based on the series which is what a review is supposed to be about!Wentworth is a gripping series right from the start, from Jaqs to Bea to the Freak to Vera what a fantastic cast they had. All the actors and actresses were spot on and the storylines were great, it did lag at times and the final season although engaging could have been longer as it felt rushed. I will purchase this set without any 2nd thoughts as it will make a fantastic gift

Series brilliant but rubbish box set that arrived broken and discs were loose in box. Ordered new dvd case just to store them in as the disc layout is horrendous!

I discovered Wentworth last year and it has fast become one of my favourite shows, therefore I was keen to buy the complete box set as soon as it was released. In hindsight, I may have benefitted from waiting until the price dropped somewhat because the included extras are limited and only relate to series 1-3.There are no outtakes or bloopers. There are interviews and set tours with the cast which are interesting, however the sound quality is poor and I found myself turning the volume up and down.Hopefully this review will be helpful to other fans.

As for the series itself it is pumping. But the box is one of the ones we're all the discs are layered on top of each other. I've heard many other people mentioning the same issue. When are retailers going to realise this.

I have season 1 on dvd if i like it ill get the whole seasons but £100?! (noooo chance) it costs literaly pennies to make the discs , a bit of plastic for cases, wrapped in a bit of cardboard with a print on. (£100?! Erm ... whats that word im thinking of? Erm... Hold on ill think of it in a sec ... Erm ... Oooh yeah i remember now ... "no" thats the word) sell at realistic prices, your taking advantage of us collectors, we know the game.

I was looking forward to picking up a complete box set before it was announced, thinking they would release it on blu-ray too. But sadly we just get the DVD which is a huge disappointment.

Wentworth is one of the best shows you’ll ever watch! The writing and acting is second to none! OITNB doesn’t hold a candle to this Australian gem! The drama and angst mixed with some great comedic lines makes Wentworth the absolute best!! I was afraid Netflix would cancel it at some point and I couldn’t be without it thus the reason for my purchase. I’ve been blessed to have met at least nine of the main stars and they are without a doubt some of the best people you’ll ever meet! Watch this show - you will not be disappointed!

We are Wentworth fanatics on this house! The fear of it being taken off of Netflix is always looming, so I decided to buy the series on DVD. It is important to tell you that this is not available in a region-free disc option, so you will need to purchase a region free player (they are pretty inexpensive running as low as $35 on Amazon). A very binge worthy show!

This series keeps you on your toes. Just when you think its going in one direction it goes differently. Tough reality for anyone who is curious about what it's like in prison. This series will teach you not to find out for yourself. I loved how they left nothing unsaid or unfinished. You see what happens to each character you grow to love or hate. You also learn a great deal about true friendship.
