Can this be used on the back of the boat as a logo/name?

No. This would be for regular vehicle use or out of water. I would advise using 951 marine grade for boats or similar aquatic types. The marine grade holds up in water and pools.

Can this be used on cups and mugs and put in the dishwasher? Do you need to use a mug/cup heat press to ensure it will remain permanent?

You need to seal cups/mugs to make them dishwasher safe with epoxy! This isn’t htv so you can’t use a heat press on it or it will melt. And even then you need to seal it with epoxy! I hope this helps!
