Best of the best books with loads of examples of how to listen to others in distress, especially at end of life.I am using this book as an introduction to doctors who need to upgrade their skills with families in distress.Just reading this made me much better at listening to others instead of jumping to examples of my own.Should be required reading for all helping professionals!

A well written informative book focused on communication in pre death discussions

Gives an excellent insight into death and caring for the dying and their loved ones. The compassion in the book is very moving.

Libro emotivo, que transmite muchas enseñanzas para encarar humanamente conversaciones difíciles.Mannix es especialista en conversaciones relacionadas con crisis como enfermedades graves o muerte; pero sus consejos para éstas son ampliables a muchos conflictos más frecuentes, cómo despidos, conflictos matrimoniales, con hijos o con amigos, fracasos de distintos tipos, etc. Este libro muestra cómo ayudar a los que se encuentran en el ojo del conflicto.Además de su utilidad práctica, está bien escrito. Por momentos sus historias son atrapantes. Se lee con gusto. Sólo hubo un capítulo que me pareció menos atractivo, por demasiado metodológico. Todos los demás son muy humanos y es muy fácil identificarse con las situaciones. Lectura muy recomendable.
