Sandy Briggs comes across as a lovely & sincere person, so this is in no way a comment on the veracity of her experiences. I liked the parts of the book that describe some of these. I also don't disparage what must've been a huge undertaking to write this book. It's only too bad that it didn't get the benefit of professional editing.I was disappointed that there's really not a lot about merging with Socrates as the title says. Instead, it comes across as merging with the bible and giving a sermon than anything to do with Socrates. Too much Christian religious dogma for my taste.

felt the title was misleading
While I appreciate the time and emotional effort it must take to write a book that is so personal, I have to say I felt misled by the title. There was probably no more than a page and one half about Socrates, who I was really interested in learning more about. I do believe the author when she recounts her spiritual pre-birth experiences and applaud her urgings of love and high morals, but the book is decidedly a Christian book with quotes from what she interprets to be the "Holy Scriptures" of the Bible. This is confusing to me, because the recommended authors in the back of her book, by people such as Brian Weiss, Michael Newton, Robert Schwartz (all of which I have read) would not seem to align with Ms. Briggs' conclusions about her religious beliefs......conclusions that look like they further a church theology regarding "sin", "salvation", YHWH (the God of the Old Testament) being the universal God and that Jesus came to save us from our sins. As someone who was an Evangelical Christian for 40 years and spent the last many years studying the church, its history and early/current agendas, and the redacting/rewriting of the Bible, I felt like, if I didn't know better, I could have been taking several steps backwards in my own journey in reading this book.Having said that, I know each one of our spiritual journeys are individual and hopefully always growing in truth and that certainly includes mine too . I wish Sandy Briggs all positive experiences as she continues on her personal voyage.

J&K response
J&K, I'm sorry that you felt misled by the title of my book. This book was not written to give the history of Socrates' life, for there are numerous books already written about that. My book was written to share my spiritual merging experience WITH Socrates in the spirit realm, thus the title given to my book. "Part two, Socrates Connection" (pages 55 - 172) is sharing what I learned through this experience of merging with Socrates. This experience then further opened my mind to remembrances of Prebirth Memories which I shared in "Part three, Transforming our World". The quotes of scripture that I used throughout my book came to my mind as I wrote. I received innumerable "aha" moments of suddenly seeing scripture in a new light that I wasn't taught before through my church upbringing. I try to explain what I understood through the Holy Spirit's communication, of what those scriptures meant from the Divine Source. Many religions to this day still do not understand scripture as it was intended by the spirit. There is a difference between the spiritual intent from what people interpreted. The misinterpretations lead to arguments and religious wars. For this reason is why Jesus came to help us to better understand the path of the upright: Love one another and help one another find the path towards peace.Again, I appreciate all of your comments and I sincerely hope that this book was helpful for you. I will forever be changed by the Spirit and so grateful for my experiences. - Sandy B.
