Some adjustments are needed for fine hair.
This clip is gorgeous and probably works great in thicker hair. My hair is very fine and in order to make it work properly I simply put my hair in a regular ponytail holder first then close the barrette around the ponytail holder. A very unorthodox way of doing things but it works great this way, and since I love how pretty it is I have no issue having to do things this way. The only issue I have is with the price of this product, very much wish it had been a little cheaper.

Very pretty clip, made for people with a lot of hair
Great, but you need a lot of hair (or a good plan) to make it work. The gap between the top beaded portion and the bottom part of the clip is pretty big. I have long hair, but it is hardly "thick" or plentiful. I plan to use a small ponytail holder and have a small pony under my loose hair and then clip this ABOVE the ponytail holder. It really is very pretty in person. I hope this helps.

pretty, sturdy, for thick hair
The clip is very pretty. Well made. Appropriate for thicker hair. I have mid-length, fine hair. Must twist hair on top of head to use clip. If I used if as a ponytail holder it would be loose or fall out.

I really loved it.
but my hair is too silky and wouldn't stay. I have issue with my hands and would have been my perfect solution. Just needs to be smaller or have more grip.

Pretty clip - needs to be a bit bigger.
Very pretty clip. Had to withhold two stars as it is not large enough to cope with my straight hair tied back in a pony tail. I still use it for half hair tied back and rest loose,but not what I really wanted. Just wish it was a bit larger - I would probably have given five stars.

Not a good buy
I loved the look of it but after usingva couple of times it snapped in half so not very pleased with it

Nice and can hold thick hair
Very dainty and held my thick hair without any problems. Nice for dressy outfits.
