How long should this take to clean a 5 gallon tank with green cloudy water?

If you are running the light 24hrs a day, I would say a few days. I had it on for 24rs a day for about a week and a half for my 20 gallon tank with lime green water. At the end of the week and a half period my tank was crystal clear. Hope this helps!

What are the actual precise dimesnions of the bulb, or the widest part on the bulb and socket? Was thinking of using it to sanitize a tube!

The bulb is 1in wide and 3in long, if you need to sterilize the tube, be careful not to put the controller in it because the controller is not waterproof.

Is the bulb replaceable?

It is not. Doesn't last long either.

Will this raise the temperature of a 3 gallon tank?

The light will generate some heat, but will not change the water temperature much.
