Be sure to test power levels starting with low setting first. Other than that the unit itself is quality made and the instruction booklet is a must read before using. This product does exactly what I need it to do. It may not fit every persons tolerance levels. Hope this helps.

Very unknown but should be essential for every household is this product, feel do I. As just a layman, this product was beyond the perception of mine, and so it stands to reason this is true for many others. With Psoriatic Arthritis, chronic pain is a daily experience for me, yet using this unit has helped a great deal with pain managment. Whether with acupuncture, losing weight, muscle building, pain managment, and a few other services this tool can easily be used throughout the day as one works or plays other activities.The muscle building is primarily the mode used by me, for all of the reasons listed in the previous paragraph. As a newbie, or inexperienced user, other more may be used as more is learned by me. The tool really is that massive in utility for me.The box is missing one hard plastic feet-pad, for the feet I can stick to points on my body, even though the device has two 'ports from which to attach wires. So up to four feet can be affixed to the body of mine. Yet the box comes with only one, and the flimsy clear plastic that comes with the feet is all that is left for me to use. The exact nature of the hard solid plastic pads is a mystery to me. Thus it is difficult to find another custom remedy. Other pushed clear surfaces have been used by me but are far inferior to even the flimsy plastic that comes with the feet.This seems to be a very clear design oversight for the manufacturer, and thus only for our of five stars is given by me. If they fixed this issue, the review of mine will probably change.Part of why this product is amazing is because of the versatility it has in what help out provides and how easy it can be used while going about the daily routines of mine, think do I. The battery lasts for days, though two marks is the highest shock setting used by me. Any higher and the shock becomes painful. 1 mark for upper body, and 2 marks for hips and legs.At around 6'1" and 300 lbs., others with different charcuterie to their body may have experience different from mine. Such as someone who weighs less may want to just stick to one mark.Anyone who deals with chronic pain understands how difficult it is to manage on a daily basis. Some days are better, and others are worse, and there fails to be any real rhyme or reason to which is which, think do I. So having another way to deal with pain outside of prescribed drugs is wonderstrukk, feel do I. And my mother, who deals with chronic pain as well from Rheumatoid & Psoriatic Arthritis, agrees with me.For those choosing to share their time and Force by reading this review, grateful am I. Full disclosure, I'm a man writing this review. I bought this unit for two express purposes, and it far exceeded expectation. First, my girlfriend and I wanted to do the social media experiment of giving me the pain she feels during menstruation, and second we were hoping it would help at least a little bit in relieving her cramps.Cramps first... My girlfriend gets debilitating cramps. This unit has completely nullified the pain during her light days, and brought the worst days down to a level where she can sleep at night and function during the day. With 20 levels of intensity, we have not needed it beyond level 15. The various modes give her the chance to zero in on what works best for her cramps.Second, the social media experiment... So this unit allows two sets of pads be used at once (so four pads at one time). That allowed both her and me to wear a set, put them in the same place, set the same mode and intensity. That way I could feel the same exact thing she did. After a little bit of adjusting and experimenting, she found a placement and mode that very closely replicated menstrual cramping, and set me up with the same, then gave the intensity which matched her cramps. This unit was perfect for that experiment.The extra... I was real skeptical on the functionality of this unit, but beyond our initial intended purposes, I found this unit does a fantastic job of relieving muscle pain, and helping recover after workout or strenuous activity.Pro's - two connections to allow a total of four pads. Able to change out the pads as needed. Wide variety of modes to hit exactly what you need. Excellent intensity gradient (level 1 = not really noticeable ... level 20 = I honestly don't know; neither of us can tolerate above level 18). Excellent battery lifeCon's - will only run for 60 minutes before timing out, and needs to be turned back on. Pads lose sticky after only 2-3 uses.

Unit seems to work as advertised... No issues as of yet. Have tried a couple of different programs. Touch screen is good.... Not too sensitive, but is a sensitive enough. I like this unit a lot and no complaints.... Being rechargeable means that I don't have to replace batteries as often, but the downside to that is that it is not a field replaceable battery, meaning either send it back for replacement, or replace the entire unit... I am figuring 2 years on the battery, if it last that long, it is about time to get it replaced. One difference I did not is that my Older Analog unit is much stronger... Where 50% is plenty on the analog, the new Digital unit is about 70 to 90% for the same usage... Do not take that comment as a negative, it does what it is supposed to do and does so very well... My older unit may be just a little too old!

I have bought this a couple of times from several years ago as gifts to friends. This is overall a very good product and been advocating other friends about its effectiveness. I have bought a new one for myself but surprisingly it no longer comes with the acupuncture chart that is supposed to be included in the box.
