Will this work on an oval tub?

You could give it a try. It didn't work out for me. Can always return it. I ended up just turning over flow plate upside down to add a few inches

It is a pure white and quite bright, yes.

Will this work on a plastic like tub?

Mine doesn’t work well and is almost impossible to stick on. I have a fiberglass tub that was refinished with a lot plastic like coating. Also I have a standard drain toggle and it isn’t deep enough to fit around it unless you shove the toggle out the slit opening and even then it doesn’t really work. Good idea but not a good enough design yet.
