The media could not be loaded.  “The Magical Christmas” is a smaller format book (8.5 x 8.5 inches.) The designs are extremely detailed with many small and intricate spots to color. The designs are Christmas in nature with lots of animals as well. There are no Santa Claus or Nativity scenes. The closest is comes is a sled filled with toys drawn by a reindeer and another design of an angelic being.The designs are highly detailed and due to the smaller format, general intricate to color as well.While I enjoy coloring in detail, this is not a book I would suggest for anyone who has vision or fine motor issues. It is a book for individuals who like a bit of a challenge in their projects and who like cute Christmas motifs which also include cute animals.This is what I found in this coloring book:54 Christmas designs by a variety of illustrators (including title and intro pages) in a smaller format bookDesigns are printed on one side of thin, white, slightly rough non-perforated paper typical of CreateSpace.Glue BindingEasy to open to flat position for coloringDesigns do not merge into the binding and have a double framing line at the outer edge of the design. This makes for a natural stopping place for coloring and adds to a more finished looking project.Alcohol and water-based markers bleed through the page to some degree. Water-based bleed through in spots while alcohol-based bleed through freelyGel pens and India ink pens leave shadows of color on the back of page. India ink can bleed through if you use multiple layers or apply heavily.Colored pencils work well with this paper. Both oil and wax based provide good color when I use multiple layers of the same color. I am easily able to blend (using a pencil style blender stick) and layer multiple colors as well. Hard lead pencils leave dents through the back of the page.Because of the bleed through and dents, I suggest (and use) a blotter page below my working page no matter what medium I use. I prefer card stock but several sheets of heavyweight paper work as well.

Such a pretty Christmas book! The images are all beautiful - there is not one image in this book that I do not like. The book is square which I really like. It is printed on CreateSpace paper, the images are one-sided and non-perforated. Alcohol markers will bleed through so you must put pages between to protect the image beneath. Water makers and gel pens may leave a shadow on the back but as there is no image on the reverse, this isn't really an issue. I am absolutely delighted with this book :)

The pictures in this book are adorable but I can only give it 3 stars due to the terrible quality of the paper in the book. The printer paper I buy from the store is better quality than this is. It's FAR too thin to expect much layering to be able to be done on it without creating a disaster; couple that with the fact that it's double sided printing and it really becomes a problem. I'm SO disappointed!

Small sized book. Very nice illustrations. Paper quality not exceptional.

This is a just for fun coloring book. Allows me to play in my imagination with the coloring. No nod to reality required or desired.

What a darling book! All pictures are cute, single sided, and perfect printing. Will be buying another as a gift!

A lovely cute Christmas book, super cute pictures and great artwork, very detailed. The pages are quite thin but the pictures are single sided so it's not a problem. Great book.

Some of the images are OK but every page is teeny tiny details. The paper is just like cheap copy paper.

Just purchased 2 of these for xmas, was really pleased to see review that they were single sided pictures but on arrival what would have been a beautiful book was ruined by poor quality paper. Not suitable for any kind of felt tip or marker pens. thankfully OK with pencils.

This is a beautiful book, you'll have many pages to enjoy colouring in this Christmas, and it's a very creative, fantasy magic colouring book.  I cannot wait to colour it completely starting from now to over the festive holidays, as I relax at home. I recommend you purchase it, it will also make a very nice Christmas gift. Give yourself a break from the digital electronic devices and pick up your colouring pens, relax, indulge. Definitely, going to purchase the other colouring books from this author.
