Mathematics: Grade 2 Homework Workbook Workbook Edition

This book is a companion to a textbook, but can be used alone for teaching ahead, reinforcing weak concepts, and practice. I think it is best used with one-on-one discussion. Each page has a very brief explanation of what to do to solve the problem, then a sample problem is given, along with the solution, then 4-6 problems are given to the student to practice. I wish there were more problems per page for the student to solve. However, there are LOTS of pages, so anyone using this workbook will get plenty of practice on a wide variety of topics.Each "page" has the same page number on the front and back, along with a note for the teacher about which textbook lesson it goes with. The paper is cheap newsprint, so marker will go right through and you can sometimes see the exercises on the opposite side showing through. There is no color, so the visual appeal is limited; but again, it's not a textbook, it's a workbook. If you want lots of practice and review for the money, it's a good deal. There are 159 sheets in the book. There is no answer key, which makes sense, because it's a homework book.

It is fine and review math for summer 1st grade, for keep up with some information 2nd grade, but not all.It is good deal with less than $10.for advance kids, it is just fairly, not very awesomes....

Kind of boring on its face, but it seems like it has good content. It's just not colorful at all. But it has simple concepts and is fine for what it is=a homework workbook.

This book is great if this is what your child is using at school. It is full of assignments that gives you (the parent) the option of working ahead of the class to determine where your child may need extra assistance.My grandchildren use this book in school so this helps me to reinforce the skills they are learning in school and determine how I can help them with their homework.

This is the book they are using for this year in my son class. So this was a great help for him to review before they do the same in school.

Very dispointed with the book due to too many missing pages and would like to have the number of missing pages given prior to the order..not happy.

This goes with the main terrible math book. They are both terrible and not good for homeschooling

The book came as promised in great condition - as if new - even though I bought it used 'in good condition'. I could not find the book I was hoping to order but the same authors have this book out and the philosophy is the same-will work great for my second grader.
