Q: How does this actually fit on the crochet hook? Does it cover the bottom (end) of the hook?

Yes, the hook goes inside the handle. The green and blue part of the handle twists apart, there is a rubber "washer that fits on the hook. You slip the end of the hook into the lower part of the handle, twist the green part back on and the washer holds the hook snug. I've found this handle to be extremely useful and now own 5 of them so I don't have to change hooks as much but it's very easy to change to any hook from size B to K. I hope this helps. Despite some negative comments you may see I have yet to experience any problems with the handle and I crochet everyday using the handle. Hope you find yours useful too! Mary

Q: I hold my crochet hook like a pencil. Will this egg work for this type of grip on the crochet hook?

Yes. While I'm a little rusty on the pencil hold, the grip rests nicely, kind of like lightly holding an egg. It opens up your hand and should reduce cramping. I hold it under my palm. It's made a world of difference. Oh, my pup ate half of my boyle... I promptly ordered another. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Q: Do these fit with the regular Boye crochet hooks or is there a set that you have to buy that fits with this?

This will fit up to size 6.00, maybe 6.50 crochet hooks. It doesn't matter what brand your hooks are. This has rubber stoppers that fit onto each hook to keep it in place inside the handle. This was one of the best investments I have ever made!

Q: Does this fit any brand of hooks?

I have a mix of hooks and it works with all of them. Just adjust up or down if your hook doesn't fit quite right in the color it matches with.
