Q: Hi, what kind of transformer would i need to buy? to be able to use this in the UK?

This is Mike Lindsey, Operations Director at ThermalStrike. The current Ranger listing on Amazon.co.uk which is sold by ThermalStrike is CE approved for 220-240V and does not require a transformer. As of April 2023, the unit ships with an plug adapter for UK or EU depending on the receivers address. The 220V Ranger is only available from ThermalStrike and other sellers on Amazon may be selling the US version which requires a 220 to 110V stepdown transformer rated for at least 500W. These typically range between £42.99 and £60.99.

Everything I've put it in doesn't melt at all and I have put shoes too. I would recommend putting anything delicate in bags although I don't think it makes a difference, more for peace of mind. Plastic bags don't melt. I literally stuff anything and everything in there and all comes out fine.
