Good small portable lantern
Reasonable quality for the price. Throws nice light for moving around without tripping but not great for reading. So far it's been fairly sturdy and it is lightweight. Overall it functions how I expected it to do and is useful for around the house during a power outage or for camping. I like the small compact size too.

solid light. good reason for buying this...
solid light. good reason for buying this...I like to test camping gear, and at times want to winter camp -this light was picked up with a sole reason - winter tent camping. I have slept out in 16 above with almost a foot of snow falling in one night...I picked up a military issue ICS US Army tent and slept out a few times in bad weather. while doing some reading I found that someone using these lights was able to bring up the warmth inside the tent to almost comfortable -and I can say when it's 16 outside, it's pretty cold in the tent. I slept on an air mattress, in a good Wiggys bag, and used two USB hand warmers to keep from freezing. candlelight creates heat and light, and doesn't take too much oxygen away while burning due to the tents breathability (if your worried just put the zippers at 12 o'clock and open them an inch to create draft. overall is it a good product? yep. it produces light with a tealight that you can buy at Dollar General, or almost any place that sells them. would recommend this to a friend. GL.

Pretty darn good
So, this is a smaller version of the UCO candle lantern, and for what it is, it's pretty darn good. If you're not aware of how much light a candle puts out, look into that first. Additionally, this model works off of "tealight" sized candles. If you don't know how much light those put out, look into that first. No matter how good a lantern someone builds, candlelight is still candlelight. With that out of the way... PROs: the construction is pretty solid The lantern comes with extra candles It's easy to use It's compact CONs: If you're not careful, the glass may slide out accidentally and break, thus rendering the point of the lantern useless. If you store the extra candles inside the lantern when not in use, you'll end up with annoying wax streaks on the glass if they jostle around. As an addition to the lantern, I'd suggest getting the top and side reflectors from UCO, the neoprene cover for the original candle lantern (it fits this fine), and some 1.65in/42mm diameter 0.5oz round screw top tins for the candles. Tealights fit perfectly in that size tin, you can stack four inside the lantern, and you don't have to worry about melted wax getting anywhere inside it if you leave the lantern in the car/truck/boat/tank/etc.

Get these!
These are literally the best. Super cute, super tiny, safe housing for a tea light that look aesthetic and simple. 10/10, would recommend.

Very small but decent
Nice and cheap to burn lantern. I got it for putting on the picnic table when I camp just to have something there in the dark, as I tend to walk into the tables in the dark. I kept it out of my camper for the winter and burned it in the house too for ambiance.

I LOVE THIS THING
This little do-dad, thingy, gimmicky, sort of teeny-tiny lantern is great to have on a camp trip, in an emergency, or on backporch in cold weather...... puts out more heat than you would think (I sat it on the floor between my feet at 22 degrees fahrenheit with wool blanket draped over me and it kept me warm as toast....yup, a little test, it surprised me).....sort of made cheaply but seems solid enough...... I really like it

Useful little tea candle lantern
I was going through our family's little collection of supplies for blackouts and w/e else and realized I had a bunch of beeswax tea candles but nothing to put them in/on. I wanted to get something that could encase them so they wont turn out to be a hazard around the house and I'm so happy I found this little lantern! we did end up with a black out later in the year on an especially snowy night and this little thing was so handy! gave us a nice little source of light till the power was restored. I was also pretty surprised how much warmth this little guy put out so we took it camping and it was also quite a boon for the tent for not only a nice easy hangable light source but it seemed to make our small tent a little warmer which was nice. will end up purchasing the larger 4 candle version in the future for our next camping trip but also again seems like a nice thing to have in case the power ever goes out again.

Needs Safety Improvement
I really wanted to like this little lantern. I bought a couple for my wife as a gift. She’s not really using them that much. Oh well. I bought one for my own wild camping needs just to try out, as I have one of the other basic UCO candles. Right out of the gate, the one (and only really) major issue with these: the three little fingers, prongs, whatever you wanna call them, which form the seat for the tea candle are designed incorrectly. When tea candles melt down, they turn into a complete liquid. This in itself is dangerous with any kind of candle wax except homemade candles composed of Crisco. All regular candles are highly flammable in their liquid form, so if they get tipped over in a tent, goodbye Charlie. I find the tea candles are a struggle to sit firmly and level in the three prong seat. (Yes, you could spread the prongs, but then now you have a loose candle.. the prongs are designed to hold it in place) So, you try to set it down in there, and the spring action pushes it back up. It might push it up on an angle. And the problem is, it might not do it while you’re looking. It has happened to me more than once. I feel like I cannot trust this thing. Again, when candle wax turns into liquid, that’s a problem. To me, this is the worst part of this rig. They need a better design to secure the candle in place. Hands-down. Other than that, I love the concept. It’s small, it’s compact. I like this better than the regular UCO candle set up. Those candles are also crazy expensive unless you want to make them yourself. UCO touts they burn nine hours; you can actually buy tea candles of OTHER brands that burn up to eight hours at MUCH cheaper cost in the long run. Also, a tea light is going put off the exact same amount of light as a typical UCO candle. These mini candle lanterns are also a bit cheaper than the standard UCO models. So for all the reasons mentioned, it’s a no-brainer. They just need to fix that damn cradle. At some point, when I’m feeling a little more frisky, I’ll come up with a better way to secure the tea candle cups.
