Dr. Brandt Cool Biotic - Prebiotic Redness Relief Cream - Cools on Contact to Soothe Dry, Itchy, and/or Sensitive Skin - 50 g

This 50g tub of Dr. Brandt cool biotic redness relief moisturiser came nicely presented in a branded cardboard box. It is contained within a frosted glass tub and has a plastic screw lid with a seal to maintain freshness. The cream is a medium weight moisturiser and cools on contact with the skin alleviating discomfort. It hydrates and help soothe irritated and inflamed skin whilst reducing redness and is suitable for all skin types. The cream has quite a thick consistency but I found that it still absorbed quite quickly into my skin. Oddly I did find that it left my skin feeling a bit tingling for a while after application which was surprising but not unpleasant. I have been using it daily in the morning and applying onto cleansed skin after my serum step as part of my skincare routine before the application of makeup and I have found that it didn’t cause any adverse reactions. I find that keeping the moisturiser in the fridge before use gives an even more enhanced cooling effect and a little goes a long way with this cream. The moisturiser is packed full of high-quality ingredients. This includes the cannabis sativa seed oil which calms and soothes distressed skin, the mondo grass which helps strengthen the skin barrier and reduce inflammation, the colloidal oatmeal seals in moisture (and gives the cream its scent) and a biotic balancing complex which is made with pre and postbiotics to support the skin’s microbiome and helps maintain a natural balance of microbiota. Currently priced at £49.19 at the time of reviewing it is a lovely cream to use but I can’t help but feel like the cost is on the high side. However, having said that has been thoroughly tested both clinically and by dermatologists and I really feel like it does work well at reducing redness and irritation particularly as I have drier skin in the winter months, so I would definitely recommend this moisturiser.

I was looking forward to trying this cream for my sensitive skin with mild rosacea. I love leaving this cream in the fridge and applying it cold. It gives an instant soothing sensation. It is super lightweight and a little goes a long way. It feels refreshing yet hydrating. This cream has kept my skin feeling cool and soothed and it's kept my mild redness at bay. The cooling feeling is long-lasting and it melts on the face. It goes so well under makeup and it has no scent which is so amazing for those with sensitivity to fragrances. It contains Cannabis Sativa seed oil which is a great ingredient to calm your skin down. I also have dry skin and the ceramides help me a lot to keep my natural moisture. Cool Biotic goes on even and easily and leaves no sticky residue. I have a hard time with many face creams clogging up my pores but so far not any issues. I wish I didn't love this so much! It is everything I have ever wanted in a moisturizer. Soothing, hydrating not greasy at all. I wish I could buy a gallon size and I wish it wasn't so expensive. But to me, it is worth every penny.

I didn’t hold my breath for this to work after reading the 1 ⭐️ and 3 ⭐️ reviews, but it soothed the 1st night and my redness was was almost gone after night 2! My skin has felt wind burnt to some degree or another since my 1st signs of rosacea, now it’s finally calm. I keep touching my cheeks and the bridge of my nose because it’s so hard to believe it’s not tender. Thank you 😊.

I couldn’t believe how quickly this reacted to the redness on my skin as I suffer with red patches. Anybody using creams for this will know how expensive they are and how competitively priced this is. The fact you get such quick results makes a big difference. No particular smell. Lightweight consistency and no problem with my sensitive skin, making this is a good buy

Cools the skin

i do use Sativa seed oil a lot and have been for years, so know a bit about it. This cream I have had several weeks now to fully work out whether it is worth the current price at review £35.00. The cream is lovely and lightweight, and although the price is mid range for this kind of product, I only use my little finger nail, so completes my whole face. I also use the same amount for my neck area. Lovely and cool to massage lightly into the face, and dries virtually instantly. The face feels refreshed, calming those red spots down The cream is unscented which I do like It is recommended to use every day and night for the best results Also it is recommended to keep in the fridge for extra coolness. I have done both, and do prefer in the fridge myself. This cream is excellent at doing its job, however if the cream isn’t used all the time, the red spots and imperfections of my skin came back. This cream isn’t a permanent fix for such blemishes, but if used all the time without breaks, it does work quite well. Because I took my time doing this review, I wanted to see the difference after several weeks. I have super sensitive skin and always use natural or Organic products, I am pleased to say, I have had no issues. Skin must be cleansed first, and all make up removed. My husband likes this cream also. Helps his tired eyes. The longer this product used, the better the results.. I do like the cream, however I wouldn’t buy again as I personally prefer Australian Emu Oil to do the same job and look after my skin. There are so many face creams on the market, but this one at least has the virtue of offering something a little bit different. When you open the jar (which as a simple plastic inner cap and not the seal I would prefer) it looks like a rich, medium thickness face cream with a cerealy fragrance which comes from the oatmeal in the blend. Its formulation contains cannabis oil, oatmeal and mondo grass which means you have a blend with both pre and post biotic elements. It absorbs into the skin very quickly and crucially there is no burning, itching or other irritation which with my skin there quite often can be. It is also offers relief in the form of being a cold cream with the manufacturers even recommending that it can be chilled in the fridge before use. In terms of hydration this is an okay product-it doesn't deliver anything exceptional and has only modest longevity. However, where it does score is in the area of reducing redness in two ways. Firstly, the appearance of redness is reduced after the fist few applications and secondly, by reducing irritation less redness appears in the first place. Let's be clear-this is no miracle cure-we are talking about modest impacts, but positive ones with much depending on the severity of the skin problems you have. Still, I would be minded to try this-it can be used as required day and night or would be good for men after the wear and tear of shaving. Premium price, but does offer specific benefits.
