Active Wow Teeth Whitening Charcoal Powder Natural

I am a cola-aholic and had the yellow teeth to prove it. There has been a noticeable difference after every use. Nearly a shade each time. If you are a cola, coffee or tea drinker, I think it would work for you as well. If you have gentically off color teeth, discoloration from medication or are a meth head, maybe not. This product is a micro ABRASIVE surface cleaner. It is NOT a bleaching agent. There has been no sensitivity to my teeth from using it. Some gum abrasion is very possible - more on that later. The pot is small, but a little goes a long way. Given its effectiveness for me, it seems a bargain. The powder is very fine and can make a mess. It cleans up easily. Open it over the sink. There is no inside seal on the pot, so expect loose powder when opening it the first time. Use a separate, soft brush. Lean over your sink for drips. You'll need to figure out the powder to water ratio that works best for you. If you use a lot of water, expect more mess, but it wipes up easily. DO NOT intentional brush gums or soft tissues as you would with toothpaste. Again, this is an abrasive. I had a bit of rawness along front upper gum line the first two times. It went away overnight. Practice and care reduced this happening. Hold your brush straight, don't angle into your gums. This also reduces pushing powder under the gums, as some have complained. (Not a problem for me.) I have some un-even teeth and have been able to clean into those nooks and crannies. I was concerned about taste. It has NO taste to me. Follow up with a regular toothpaste brushing works to clean away residual powder. In addition to cleaning away the yellowing, my teeth feel cleaner, not quite dentist clean but close. My breath is also improved. I'm thrilled with my purchase. I will be buying it again and recommending it to family and friends.

Wow! I love coffee & tea (I almost always have one or the other in my hand) plus a smoker for the last 15 years and I've tried many things but this is by far the best product I've ever tried for whitening sensitive teeth. Other products (strips, gels, trays, etc.) may work just as well but they are hard on your enamel and are especially uncomfortable/painful if your teeth are as sensative as mine. This powder causes no discomfort and is equally as affordable as those! I did not have the drastic results some others experienced after just one use but i wasn't expecting too either. However after the first use I could see a slight difference and knew then after a few more uses and some patience I would be very happy....and I am! The attached pic is after using this product 6 times over a 1 month period and I must say I am happy. But nothing is perfect so here is my pro/con breakdown: Pros: Affordable It works! Packaging: others complained that there is no seal under the cap... usually I'd be hesitant but this is a good thing!!! If there were when you tried removing it it's very likely that it would poof and make a mess (I hope you can understand what I was trying to say). Cons: Really messy: no matter how hard I try little black dots end up everywhere! I now use this in the shower.... I think it's easiest way to clean it up. Size: the size listed on the website/container would be fine but I weighed the product before using and neither the fl oz or the ml matched what was advertised. When I did the measurements I got 1.7 fl oz/50.275 ml while in the plastic container & what was advertised is 2 fl oz/59 ml. Not a huge deal.... just sharing my experience. Small container opening: I have a normal sized manual toothbrush and if not angled perfectly I can only get the powder on the tip of the toothbrush. Manufacturers should consider creating a shorter container with a bigger opening. Not asking for more powder just a more convenient container. Overall great product that I would recommend to anyone who asks!

I have been pleasantly surprised with how well this has worked. I could tell a difference after my 2nd use and it continued to improve. It is so much cheaper and less painful for my teeth than getting the bleach from my dentist. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and how well it has done to whiten my teeth. Some things I've learned (tips): My teeth will feel gritty for several hours. I normally will brush with the powder and follow up with my regular toothpaste but still have a gritty feeling for hours. I find that if I only use this at night that I don't notice it the next day. Secondly, the little groves where my gums and teeth meet can sometimes hold onto the charcoal and can look a little gross. I've also noticed that the charcoal works itself up under my gum line and you can see it through my gums. It normally works itself out throughout the day but again brushing with the powder only at night helps that from being a problem. As far as spitting, it is pretty gross looking. It's like some artsy horror movie. That being said I find that putting my head as close to the sink bowl as possible before spitting helps to keep the mess and splatter at a minimum. The taste isn't horrible, but the overall look and feel is disconcerting. I just try and smile as big as I can and only brush the fronts of those teeth. I did notice yellowing again after about 10-14 days of not using the powder. I'm going to make it a point to use this powder at least twice a week once I reach my desired shade. Overall I am really pleased. I was honestly not expecting this to whiten my teeth at all but it has worked very well. The jar was smaller than I was expecting but a little goes a long way and I will hopefully be able to stretch this out for a 4-6 months before buying another jar, and I will be buying another jar.

After reading both the negative and positive reviews for this product I thought I would give a try. I usually use strips but have been having a difficult time with them getting all of my teeth white and brighter. This product was quite a bit cheaper and the positive reviews made me curious. So here are my thoughts: I will not use chalky toothpaste or toothpaste. The sensation of chalk being in my mouth drives me nuts. This product is a powder and I thought I might have problems with it but the powder is ground up pretty finely and once I started brushing it really didn't bother me. Of course, brushing with charcoal makes you look less than desirable at the time but there wasn't any sort of taste so it was pretty easy to do. I brushed for about two minutes just like I normally would with regular toothpaste. After brushing with this product one time I could see a difference!! However - and this is where I see some bad reviews appearing - there was a line of charcoal around my gums and in between my teeth that would not rinse away. This is not meant to replace your toothpaste - this is something you do in conjunction with your toothpaste. After brushing and flossing I was very excited to see the results and was not disappointed. Definite difference! Added bonus: if I keep using this product every day my dentist will be proud to see my flossing habits have improved! Is this product messy? Yes it is. I have managed to not get any on my clothes yet but I would assume it will make just as much of a mess as it does when I get toothpaste on my clothes. My sink needs to be cleaned up afterwards but I just spray with some vinegar cleaner and wipe off any residue and am good to go. I would recommend this product to anyone who desires whiter teeth and doesn't feel like shelling out tons of money with pricey tooth whitening strips or a trip to the dentist to get them whitened. I've asked my dentist and they don't think there is anything wrong with using this product as long as I continue to brush and floss afterwards. Trust me - that won't be a problem. I hope anyone else that tries this product has just as much luck as I did with it.

I've been using this stuff off and on for 7 months and I finally decided to write a review. I kept waiting for my results to be like all the other "WOW" results, but if I'm being completely honest, this hasn't made a HUGELY noticeable different in the whiteness of my teeth long term. In my experience, it acts like a polish. Right after you use it, your teeth do look whiter and cleaner, but the results aren't really lasting. If you want your teeth to look really white all the time, you'd have to use it regularly, multiple times a day. That's fine, but if you're looking for more permanent results and don't like the idea of brushing with this stuff on the regular, then you might want to adjust your expectations. My advice for use: Use it in conjunction with your regular toothpaste! Use it with an ultrasonic toothbrush! Use it with your mouth closed! Rinse your sink thoroughly after use! Rinse your mouth thoroughly after use! What I do is put my regular toothpaste on my ultrasonic toothbrush head, wet the toothbrush/toothpaste, then lightly tap it into the container of charcoal, then put it in my mouth and turn the toothbrush on. It works great. I don't have to brush separately with just this and my teeth look and feel really clean afterward. If you're going to use it with an electric toothbrush, DO NOT pull the toothbrush head out of your mouth until it shuts off or you will have a big mess on your hands. Otherwise I don't find this to be any more messy than regular brushing. It just looks totally gross. All in all it does have a whitening effect on my teeth if I use it regularly, but not as dramatic as other reviews might lead you to believe. At least not in my experience. I probably won't buy this again and will just go for professional whitening next time. It really isn't bad and doesn't taste completely horrible, it's just not as great as I hoped it would be. Hope this helps someone else!

After reading other reviews and even other charcoal powders, I purchased this for the whitener aspect. After using per directions, I have noted absolutely no change in the shade of my teeth. My front four teeth are porcelain overlays, the rest are entirely natural. There are a couple of things to note... 1.This container is SUPER tiny small. I have included pics with my hands so you can see how small. 2. The methodology is MESSY, as you can image - all over the counter, sink, your mouth (and I'm not just talking about the black mouth that is obvious - and as you have seen in other photos) - the charcoal is very, very fine powder, so it flies everywhere. 3. The other thing I didn't like was that the "grit" remains in your mouth for a long time (days after) even after very careful rinsing. 4. To avoid wasting your time... I am NOT a smoker... I drink maybe one cup of coffee or tea a month.... don't drink juices. Further, your experience may be different than mine, however, my review is an honest review of MY personal experience with this stuff. I encourage everyone to make their own choices and respect all opinions even when they don't agree with mine. I usually update my reviews should new info seem useful, however, I am no longer using this product. UPDATE: 5/19/2017.. I did not ask for a refund. However, the seller unexpectedly refunded my purchase today. It is never too late to do the right thing and I appreciate the effort. UPDATE: 6/11/2017... As this has come up... I am NOT a smoker...not a significant coffee or tea drinker (maybe once per month or two) nor do I drink grape juice or really any other kind of juice for sugar reasons. Adding this info as I was accused by a commenter, that doesn't even know me, of being a smoker. What a waste of your time and mine.

OK...First, I'm not in the habit of raving about anything I buy, but in this case I have to make an exception. Among all the gazillions of fake and gimmicky products that claim to do this and that, but don't deliver, THIS ONE DOES EXACTLY WHAT IT CLAIMS. I was a smoker for 35 years. Equally bad, as a southerner I drank iced tea almost daily from the time I was a small child, adding coffee in later adulthood. Even though I had regular dental checkups and cleanings, long term staining was obvious. I'm also pale complexioned with yellow blond hair, meaning my teeth have a natural yellow tone. I was totally skeptical when I found this stuff but ever hopeful I'd find something that actually worked someday. Like most everyone else who finds this stuff, I'd already tried most everything else, including professional teeth whitening. Nothing worked for me. Superficial stains were mostly cleaned away but the yellowing always remained. Then I found this NASTY looking (LOL) BLACK powder (this product) and gave it a try. My first impression was: UGGGH!, as it immediately turned my mouth completely black (somehow that's how it works). After a good black-toothed laugh, I said never mind the disgust. I rinsed, took a look and at first glance could see clearly: IT WORKS!! I'm shocked! My teeth have never been whiter than they are now, in my whole life that I can remember, and I am a totally satisfied customer. If you want white teeth, buy this stuff. It really worked for me and frankly, if you expect any more from a tooth whitener than what I got, you probably want veneers, implants or dentures, since I can't imagine any cleaning product working better than this stuff does.

I’m surprised at how much I liked this. I wasn’t sure what to expect but it has left my mouth feeling cleaner and I see visible lightening after only 1 use. It felt gentle enough and left my mouth squeaky clean once I rinsed it all out. I was taken aback when I first started to use it because of how dark my mouth looked but I assure you I’d rinses completely out. They were out of the spearmint when I ordered so I will try that next time to get a similar taste as toothpaste but the natural was fine. It didn’t have an overtly charcoal taste and was easily palatable. While it was very gentle and didn’t cause any irritation I do think it is something you wouldn’t want to use everyday because charcoal is an abrasive and it could wear away some enamel. With that said, I think this is a fantastic product to use once every few weeks to get rid of the residue your teeth accumulates. I believe you do get a finishing of the whitening after the first use because you can only remove so many stains and gunk before it’s all gone. So I look at this as a cleaner and for maintenance after you have done the first clean. The first use lightens dramatically and after that with continued use you have much cleaner teeth with no stains.

Wow!! This stuff really works! First time will clean your teeth up good. Second time will make them white! Not as messy as some reviewers have said. Just close your mouth for most of your brushing. Will only go all over the place if you're half asleep in the morning.
