Small writing space
I love the idea of this book but the space for writing the word is small for young students. I also wish it had differentiated pages one with more words to trace and one like it is…Works well in my older reading intervention groups, and I love the picture support and repetition.

Great choice of sight words
I bought this book to use with my kindergarten babies next year. I love that they have such a variety in the sight words they choose. Some are a little bit above K students so it will definitely help with enrichment. The more they can read the better! I will also be using them with my own daughter who will start K in the fall.

Great tool
My 5yo loves doing these. She likes to make them as gifts for people. We read the word, fill in the lines, read the poem, color the pictures, and then I take the time to talk about rhyme patterns and other aspects of poetry as it relates to the day's poem. She's not a struggling reader and doesn't need a lot of help with sight words, but we wanted her to start really writing and thinking about writing as more than copying words. We wanted her to think of writing as a way to convey her thoughts and ideas. This book is a good starting point.

Very cute and engaging! Kid friendly
There is a good list of sight words here. If a child is just learning these sight words, they wouldn't be able to read all the poems. Mom or teacher would probably have to read the poem to them, or together with them.

Great option for a quick practice!
Cute and useful for Kinder ages kids or 1st graders struggling with writing and sight words. Kids like the poetry. We have them circle their best written word on each page and they like that, too.

Cute poems that the kids will love
I bought this as a digital download and lost it when my computer crashed. I love this resource to reinforce sight words. The poems are catchy, easy to learn and lots of fun. My kids really like and learn from them.

Great book
I use it with my 4-yr preschooler who could write independently. We use flash cards for quick review but she learns with this book. She gets to write it a few times while reading a page and identifying the words that she knows. Once she is done with writing those words, she gets to use her alphabet stamps to stamp the sight word and that makes learning sight words really exciting for her. It helps with learning sight words, writing skills and reading too. I would say a must have for little ones.

Great for reading fluency!
This is a great books for my first graders. I love how it is a way for them to practice sight words along with their reading fluency. I was hoping that the pictures would have more comprehensional connections but other than that they are great!

I am using this book as poetry home reading in kindergarten. We practice the poem all week and then I send it home in a duotang for the weekend. I love the fact that students need to fill in the sight words in the poem as a little activity during the week. Plus, my k's have been reading the poems to their buddies when they come to the class and it gives them a sense of pride.
