Good idea to throw in some learning
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 12 year old son. We haven't built it yet so I will have to update this review after we do but he was very excited and I love that he's learning before he plays. I bought my kids and all my nieces and nephews S.T.E.M items for Christmas this year

A fantastic building set for a kid with a infinite imagination
The 1st set didn't work after my kid built it, i reached to customer service through Amazon and the person who contacted me the same day by email resolved our problem, my kid not just enjoys building and rebuilding but playing with it since a remote control is included, he is very please with it.

Stem remote vehicle
I bought this for my grandson. He loves it. The value for the money, for me, is priceless. Seeing how excited my grandson was, is priceless. Not sure what "thickness" is referring to

A Bit of a Lame Duck...
It's a fair set for beginning technic-style Lego builders, but rather lame otherwise. Sixty percent of the bulk of this car is a solid block, that houses the motor, steering servo, and battery pack. The motor is ludicrously slow, the clearance on the bottom doesn't allow for going over obstacles, and the parts aren't of any noteworthy quality, so it fits together either rather loose, or hurts adult hands to assemble. Only value is in extra parts, but I received one part that wasn't fully formed.
