Better than expected
Writing this from the hammock…I’m a heavy woman so I was concerned this wouldn’t be able to hold my weight, It does and then some. Very happy to add this to my backyard. The pillow and carrying case are definite pluses. Assembly was fairly straightforward.

Heavy sturdy stand and nice hammock
15 minutes to put it together reading instructions and 5 minutes to take it apart. Packaged well, all parts were present, no damage. This hammock stand is heavier and sturdier than another one I own. The hammock will hold 2 people but I only tried with myself. Comfortable. It comes with a pillow and carrying case. No problems with the strings on the hammock or any other part of the hammock. I think it's very good for the price. I can't speak about the longevity, but hopefully it will last for a long time.

Great with a few minor flaws
I've been sleeping on this hammock every day for nearly two months. I've gotten the hang of it, mostly, and I have some notes.Advice for potential buyers:The frame is a little loose and jiggly when you aren't lying down in it. If you shift too much, it'll creak a bit, but it is sturdy. It takes a while for the canvas to stretch enough to be truly comfy. That's not a flaw, it's good that it comes tighter, but expect some time before it feels like a cocoon. You'll have to readjust the stretch of it several times as well, but thankfully this is a simple and relatively painless process. The fabric itself is very rough. It dries out my skin and I have to be careful to cover it entirely with a blanket or soft sheet so it doesn't tear me open. I also have very sensitive skin, so your mileage may vary.I paid about $64 for this and I think it was definitely a worthwhile purchase. Lot cheaper than a bed, in any case. I don't know if it will last ten years, but if I can get five or so out of it, I'll feel I got my money's worth, especially since I sleep in it most every night.I got the big, double person hammock because I wanted to be able to wrap the fabric around me as I slept. This was a good idea, except it does sometimes make it a touch more difficult to LEAVE the hammock. Still I think it was worth it.If you're planning on sleeping in this, you have to-HAVE to-pad the bottom with something warm and thick. Since there's so much airflow underneath you as you sleep, it's very easy to get chilled. I don't get cold so easily, but I do get cold at night if I haven't spread my comforter out thoroughly enough.Changing positions is a little more difficult than it would be on a standard mattress, but it does offer a lovely little swinging motion that helps me drift back off to sleep. You can't sleep straight in a hammock. It'll hurt your back and you won't get good rest. You have to slightly angle your body (another reason the double is a good buy) and I like to pull the upper half of my body up a little higher on one end to take the tension off my torso and lower back. When I do this well and take the time to really get a good sleeping position, I wake up feeling better than I have in a long time. If I don't, I wake up with an ache in my lower back and a cranky mood.I haven't washed the fabric yet, as I cover it almost entirely with comforters and blankets before sleeping on it, but I imagine it would make more sense to wash it in one's bathtub than in a washing machine. The strings aren't delicate, per se, but they aren't so tough that I don't think they wouldn't get destroyed after enough washings in the machine. Also, it would be hard without wrapping them to stop them from tangling. When it gets warmer outside, I'll give it a good scrub in the tub with some light laundry detergent and set it to hang dry outside. A little more hassle, but worth it, I think.Make sure you adjust the strings to the relevant height. The canvas will stretch and you'll get closer to the ground. If it isn't at the right tension for you, it will hurt your back. When it is, it's like sleeping on a cloud. Some of the pieces don't fit together quite as snuggly as I would like, but it seems sturdy enough. I put it together entirely by myself (short woman with short arms) in less than twenty minutes. Probably would have taken less time if I had any head for assembly. When adjusting the strings, I recommend getting a small wrench to take off the spinny nut things that keep it attached to the frame. I do it with my fingernails, but it always breaks them terribly. I imagine if you had gel or acrylics, it would hurt a hell of a lot more.It takes some time to adjust to sleeping in this, don't be upset if you aren't sleeping perfectly the first week. I do recommend getting a flattish pillow to put under your head. Thick ones, even for side sleepers like me, will just be uncomfortable in the hammock. All in all, I think it was a great buy. At some point I might get a hammock with softer fabric, if only to stop buying tubs of lotion for my skin, but it's good quality nonetheless. There's something really special about waking up to the sunrise in a hammock that sways gently back and forth. The little Y thingies at the end are also great for holding a water bottle with a strap. I wouldn't have any acrobatic....relations...in this thing (if only so you don't have to explain to EMTs how you threw out your back when they're standing over you on the floor), but I can say I think it will hold up to two people sleeping in it.Great buy! If anything changes, I'll update my review.Five month update:The fabric has softened a little bit after repeated use. I did end up washing it a few times in the bathtub with my normal laundry detergent. Fill the tub, add detergent, agitate, then toss in hammock. Leave it for ~30-45 minutes, then agitate the hammock itself for a few minutes. Then, drain the tub and rinse the hammock with cool water. I'd do it twice, just to make sure you get out all the detergent. Then I hung it to dry and it dries very quickly! It's taken a few months, but now it's stretched out. I imagine in another half year or year it'll be down another notch, but I don't think the fabric will stretch too much more. The longer I use it, the more comfortable it becomes. Great to use for guests, even if they're skeptical at first. I offered my bed and she chose the hammock instead after spending five minutes in it!The frame is a teeny bit wiggly, but it holds up admirably even when I toss myself in. I do recommend padding it with something, if only so it's soft against your skin. A nice sheet or a yoga mat covered in a sheet is good!Overall, I love this thing. For the money I paid, I'm thrilled. Even my family, who have been making fun of me for ages, loves it when they try it.Great for your back to sleep on!

Customer Service was great.
The first one I got broke a month in. The bar split in half and I'm well under the weight limit. The manufacturer was super polite, and they had a new one out to me the next day. It's very comfortable, portable, and adorable.

Currently taking a hammock lunch
I set this up on my screened in porch and have a new favorite hangout. Instructions were easy and I didn’t even break a sweat. Will need to move the hook to a lower bolt setting to tighten as the canvas loosens. Comes with a bag to store in, but the steel is heavy so I wouldn’t take the stand camping.

Everyone, even the Frenchies love this hammock.
This Lazy Daze hammock is absolutely AMAZING!! Worth every single dollar and then some! We set it up outside at first, but it was such a hit with the whole family that we ended up moving it into the living room! Now, even our Frenchies can't get enough of it! Everyone loves it! If you're on the fence, stop hesitating—this hammock is a total game changer! HIGHLY recommend it!!

Didn't Know I Needed It
A friend bought us a macramé hammock. But the trees in the backyard were too far apart to hang it. So I finally bought this hammock frame and set it up on the deck. You know how you sat in hammocks before and thought "How in the world does anybody not fall out of this?" Well, you will not fall out of this one. This hammock sort of cocoons you in. Like a hug from a summer breeze. Really. The frame is sturdy And, honestly, I haven't hung macramé hammock yet because the one provided with the frame is great so far. It's also very easy to assemble.
