Difficult to open, slippery
The box itself is difficult to open for a child. Then it is roundish and the surface is so smooth and slippery, so it fell out of my sons hands couple of times.Inside there are two smaller boxes, and no way child can open those lids. It is even difficult for me.

Very handy
I love the ice pack being under the food. We like strawberries and cheese sticks and now I don’t have to pack 5 extra ice packs! My sons loves it.

Scratches easily
I was debating whether to buy this lunch box or the OmieBox. My son used it for one day and it looks like it has been used for years. Didn’t like it. Not sure if we could return it because they have been used ( we got one for each kiddo) Will buy the OmieBox and see if that ones is better.

Won't keep food cold
The ice pack is just too small and the container has no insulation, so wont keep food cold. I bought this for my daughter's school lunch, so needs to keep food cold for about 4 hours before she eats it. I tested it by taking the temperature of the food right out of the refrigerator using an instant read thermometer. By 4 hours the food was completely room temperature. Out of the refrigerator food was 35 degrees. At 2 hours it was 50 degrees. At 4 hours it was 74 degrees (same as the kitchen) and the ice pack was completely melted and room temperature too. Since certain perishables are not safe to eat for more than an hour or 2 over 40 degrees, I cant use this for my daughter's lunch. This would be fine if you were planning on eating the food within an hour or 2, but not going to work for what I assume most parents buy it for (packing in the early morning, and lunch at noon).

Good!
the lunch box is cute and of good quality, the compartments are roomy and the weight is good for a 5 year old. I do not put 5 stars because the freezer pack that is also included did not come, now I have to get an additional one that fits in the lunch box. my son liked the bright colors
