Better than I expected tbh.
Way better than I expected. It is built very well. I looked at tons of videos before I bought this and nobody mentioned that it has metal lockouts in the rear. That was a nice surprise. You must grease the front of the trans before running it though. It also came with wheel hexes, pins and screws for the servo.

Must have!
Great value for the money. Rock solid build and super easy to assemble. Functions smooth and quiet.

Just meh
My review rating has changed. The seller is sending me new parts for free and I didn't even ask! They read my review and wanted to make it right. They contacted me. It is very refreshing. Usually you have to deal with difficult sellers so I rarely ask for returns or parts if I have extras of my own laying around. I am still surprised there are doing this on there own. Very happy with the customer service!! I left my old review at the bottom.Oh I haven't had any more problems and the transmission is solid running 3sIt's not the greatest. Make sure you tighten every bolt. I missed one and lost a drive shaft. They should sell the kit unassembled. It would be easier.

Great quality. Front heavy.
Overall great quality all metal frame with all metal gearbox with a servo that shifts between the two gear ratios. I simply plugged that small servo into my multi channel receiver. I put on some pretty awesome 135mm diameter tires/wheels. Very front heavy. I even had a large battery on the back end. I smoked the first motor I put on it because the wire got trapped between the shaft and the steering servo. I used a traxxas steering servo. Worked flawlessly. Later I had a sport tuned tmaiya motor that smoked a 1060 hobbywing esc. Only because I too anxious to wait for a low turn (12t) motor. I have also got a brushless 4700kv motor and high amp esc for a test run later. Got the 1/10 scale 1946 power wagon body and I am painting it metallic copper. Then giving it to my Dad! (Yeah he is getting old). Oh yeah. One of the shocks was missing its bottom so I changed out all the shocks for some better shocks. Amazon has tons of shocks to choose from. It is a very nice full metal frame! All metal drive shafts. Aluminum gears (metal gears). Very nice. Just front heavy and heavy overall. You will need a powerful motor for sure. Those are also on the Amazon.

hello could use some minor improvements.
out of the box it looked great. everything was nice nothing broken. i tried to install a hobbywing fusion1800 motor in this chassis and now interferes with the servo mounting. cannot get around it. a fusion will not work. i may have to use a brushed motor. but since i had this already thought it would be good. and with the pinion gear that came with it the is good speed in both gears. the difference in speed is noticeable. for me shocks were too high. i run 4.19 tires and it looks like a monster jeep. i use this as a scale trail truck so i will have to get shorter shocks in blue black or silver. quality of build seems good. runs quietly. pic is of the finish build needs nicer bumpers though which i will get.

Look great
Great looking chassis that worked out of the box. No issues after several hours of crawling.

2 stars, 2 minutes runtime and shift servo locked up. Update: Now 1 star for a junk transmission
This looks pretty good out of the box but first thing to do is put blue lock-tight on ALL of the set screws on the drive shafts and check all other screws, most of mine were loose.Transmission was noisy and not very smooth when the motor mount set screws are tightened down, maybe that will break-in a little if I get to run it again.First run, got it outside and ran it for about two minutes at slower speeds, crawled pretty good but not much difference in gear speeds, too fast for a crawler in either gear and you cannot adjust that with a different pinion gear as this is a planetary transmission, Im hoping maybe I can control that more with a brushless motor and better speed controller (those haven't arrived yet) but out of the box with a brushed motor and standard ESC this is geared more for a trail truck/basher than a crawler. I then gave it a little more speed, brought it to a stop and tried to shift gears and the micro servo for shifting was locked up. Brought it back inside, tried to free up the servo and finally ended up just smoking it. So now Im waiting yet again for another order from Amazon, of some new (not Injora) micro servos that are hopefully going to be better than what comes with this kit, and hopefully they fit the mount. Once all the kinks are worked out of this thing Ill update my review, hopefully it gets better but Im not holding my breath.Update 10-30-2024 Down to 1 starGot my new shift servos and brushless motor, a brushless motor in this thing is fantastic, too bad the rest of this kit sucks so bad, I can only imagine what it would be like in a quality vehicle.I bought this for the two speed transmission to make a trail truck/crawler and not only is there almost no discernible difference in the gear ratios it can hardly shift between them. All I can get out of it is 1st and neutral without manually giving it a bump into second. Shifting has a large space for 1st gear and neutral and then a very small space for second gear at the very end of the servos throw and the end of the shift linkage before it reaches its end, so almost every time it wont engage. However with the small difference in speeds between first and second gear Im considering just leaving it in first gear, unplugging the servo and running it that way and adjusting the speed from the radio, but what a piece of junk and waste of money. Quality control must be really hit or miss on this thing as Ive seen other people have had good luck with it.This looked like a fun project , however I would not recommend this chassis kit to anyone, instead, had I been smarter I would have purchased a quality brand name, tested and known to work well vehicle and just done the mods I wanted to do to it. Helps to start out with something that works right.

Great chassis
Really nice chassis but here a the problems1. Weak axles2. Will not fit a 540/5503. It's really fast if you use the stock gearsBut for the price you're getting a really good trail truck/crawler,it's easy to maintenance has great aftermarket parts a unique transmission and is really stable and grounded.
