Everyone who has a child or someone needing assistance explaining how they feel NEEDS this book!
LOVE this book for many reasons! Adorable photos of fruit in various expressions will have you smiling! A super great tool to assist anyone in explaining how they are feeling. Great book for learning colors, counting, naming fruit and of course, naming expressions.

LOVE The artwork and message in this great book!
FANTASTIC creative book! But the quality of this used book was just so so. Spine was ripped up and some pages wrinkled… I wish the seller were more upfront about the condition of this used book…

Love this book!
I got this book to replace the one that was damaged. I am a preschool teacher and this is one of my favorite books. Each year I read this to the class of 3-4 year old children when I talk to children about feelings. They seem to love this book. The pictures are bright and colorful and the book is not too wordy so it captures their interest on each page. Over the years, some class would want me to read it again.

Need to help your child learn to verbalize what they're feeling?
I probably have about 50 kid's books we rotate through, but this is the only one I'll be writing a review on. This one was recommended by a "play therapist" to encourage my 2 year old to be able to feel comfortable talking about her feelings. Each page has pictures of different produce made up to look happy, sad irritated, etc. along with a simple rhyming format "are you happy or mad, angry or sad". After multiple readings I'll ask her to pick out a face with a particular type of emotion, which she loves to do.Since the very first time reading the book, she's been able to verbalize her feelings, something I think adults like myself probably take for granted that kids just know how to express. She'll tells me if she's happy or sad (she actually says she's grumpy) and it provides an opening to talk about what things she may be struggling with. I have three older kids but was never really able to make them comfortable enough to talk to me about deeper subjects like feelings, fears, and things like that. For some people like myself, it's a learned skill, and this book literally opened that door for me to be able to better communicate with her after only one reading. From what I can tell, she's also become more aware of other people's feelings and will comment and empathize when we're watching TV if a character is sad or angry. It wasn't the original reason I bought the book, but having her develop that awareness of emotions of others at an age where many kids are very self-focused by nature is an added bonus.Very highly recommended.

Cute book expressive feelings
We love this book. First we checked it out at the local library and my son loved it so much that after checking it out twice I decided to just buy it! He has big feelings and this is such a good way to help me help him label them.

Love this book. Helps kids understand and communicate their feelings. But that aside, it’s an incredibly cute book.

Just like I remember it!
I got some copies of this book for my nieces and nephew this year! It was a favorite of mine and my siblings' growing up. Our mom was a lunch lady so we loved looking at all the different foods and faces. I'm excited to read it with all the kids in my family so we can talk about our feelings and favorite vegetables :)

Fun but with a serious side
This was purchased as a joke present for someone with a suitable sense-of-humour, and was subsequently well received. However, this item does have a more serious purpose, and for that, my in-family psychologist (currently specialising in research with children with learning difficulties) is of the opinion that the book is quite fit for purpose, well made and laid out.I personally, would have some issue with paying the hardcover price of almost £30, for this 48-page book, which is why I went for the paperback option.

Great for children with autism
I’m a children’s counsellor and have been using this book with clients for years. I lost my copy in a house move and HAD to get another. It’s particularly useful when working with children with autism to help them understand facial expressions.
