Good Quality
It works great!

It has stopped working before the 6 month mark
I bought the 16:2, but I don’t think there is any difference. Don’t put up the extra money for that unit. Otherwise it runs well. It doesn’t put out the 15kw it says it does. More like 7.

Great Customer Service
No matter what you buy, who you buy it from or how great the reviews, from time to time a product is assembled with a faulty part and does not work right out of the box. That happened with the Induction Heater I purchased. It would power up, but would not heat. No error lights indicating what the problem might be and no apparent outward damage. You would think this would not warrant a 5 star rating. But in this case, U.S. Solid paid to have the item returned and shipped me a new one in quick order. I’ve purchased bad items before and had to fight with the vendor to get it replaced. I did not have to fight here. Quick response to my emails and quick resolution. I recommend a U.S. Solid purchase based on their customer service.

DO NOT BUY
The media could not be loaded. Update:I have been going back and forth with US solid and the seller here on Amazon and they want me to try to repair the circuit board in the machine myself. I’m not a repair guy and for over 1k this machine should work as advertised and not die before it is 6 months old.I am very disappointed with this machine. I bought it and ran it once a week for three hours per session at most and six months later the whole thing does not work. I paid a professional electrician to wire it for the required power and always ran it with water coolant circulation. What a rip-off.Overall I would say the quality of the machine is poor.

AWESOME MACHINE
US SOLID INDUCTION HEATER arrived in good condition box had been opened small Piece of tubing missing (adapter for diy coil) 1e mail later part is in route from supplier. hooked up water supply with an old car radiator 10 gallon Reservoir and recommended pump. hooked up power (50amp 220 volt) turned on switch and it heated a 1" solid round bar to glowing hot(red)in less than 30 seconds tried a piece of 1" conduit (thin walled) just for S/Gs 30seconds latter FIREWORKS conduit with timer set on 30 seconds blew out and melted this machine works just like you see on amazon. I heated two pieces of 3/16 x 1/4 inch high carbon steel to forging temperature in about 1 minute. put a 60mmx60mm crucible and turned on 15 seconds bright red top to bottom melted 1kg copper total time about three minutes +/- I have two of the ZVS 2500/3000 watt induction heaters from over the seas they are TOYS compared to this machine. OVERKILL?/ MAYBE DID I NEED IT/ NO! DID I WANT IT/ YES! HAPPY?/ OH YEA! my US Solid Induction Heater has exceeded my expectations by far Thank YouUPDATE 5/2/22 part to make "extra" coil that was missing came in today

Works great; needs a LOT of water!
I was worried when I first turned this unit on because it gave a "water lack" alarm even though I had a water pump that supposedly met the 2 gallons per minute at 43 PSI spec (converted from metric, of course). I ended up connecting it directly to the faucet and that silenced the alarm. If you go the water pump route don't be cheap...you'll spend at least $50 for the right pump on Amazon. People have pointed out that if you do the math on the voltage and current going into this unit it can't actually be 15kW but that's fine...it heated the 1/2" square steel bar in the picture to that color (around 1500 degrees F) in less than 10 seconds! Very happy with this purchase!

Still in the early stages of information but there is just barely enough to get it set up
I got it hooked up and did one test and seems to be working. It came damaged with the rear water connectors smashed in, similar to a video somebody has online. So I took it apart and it seems the guts are OK, so what the heck. There is no good source of information on how to set this thing up. Forget the manual and forget the web although you can piece together all the bits of info to get you there. But it's frustrating work to gather the data and I'm afraid of doing it wrong. Now I did email US Solid any got a quick response. Great! They told me the top secret question that is no where published: the machine takes a 40 amp breaker. I also sent a photo of my machine and said if the damage is just cosmetic then we are cool. They said well fine.So it seems the future is bright. No. Hopefully just a few clouds. There is the copper coil issue. You should pair the coil size to the work piece. There is info out there on how to make them but again real sketchy. So where can you buy some? Several places including this one but sellers don't provide a wealth of specs. Like will it work specifically with this machine. There are many videos out there of people exclaiming how happy they are with their machine so I think I will be also once I get more knowledge together and over come the fear of this imposing 220 volt giant box. I got the cooler also and that had a few bumps. Oh yes. But I think it will all be worth it.One final remark. Do you need to be so obsessively compulsive about knowing everything about the set up? Personally, I just like enter the unknown with some control. So you likely could just hook it up, possibly some people do, but doing some homework couldn't hurt.

Wired it up for my 220v plug easy. Used it for a couple of hours on ...
Got it a couple of days ago, came on time. Wired it up for my 220v plug easy. Used it for a couple of hours on and off, no more than 10 or so seconds at a time heating the ends of 3/8x1" bar stock. Works great so far. Instructions are kind of crap but it is easy to use. If you don't have a coolant system it isn't hard to create your own with a few valves and some water pumps, just be sure to have a thermometer for measuring the water temp, preferably one you can set an alarm at a certain temperature just incase. Makes my projects go so much faster! I will update if I end up having any problems.
