Beautiful and functional
This easel has it all. The color is beautiful, it is easy to store and assemble, and it is very functional. The legs are adjustable and sturdy, and the drawer is convenient for holding paint and brushes. It was so pretty, I almost felt a little guilty for getting paint all over it. Only a little, though.

very good portable case and easel.
very good portable case and easel. The black cherry is black or as close to black as a stain can be. If you like the look of wood, get a lighter color. Some folks have said they have trouble getting the easel set up. I can't understand how since it comes completely assembled packed in white protective foam and operation is pretty straightforward. This is not as sturdy or as large as an "indoor" easel, but then it's meant to be portable and for that it more than sturdy enough. Unlike some of the other brands with same or similar looking products, I found no missing hardware, or broken parts. US Art is pretty reliable even if not the most expensive brand around. I own two of these and I'd say the same for both.

Beautiful case. I just wish it came with instructions
Beautiful case. I just wish it came with instructions. Mine came with a few loose bolts and washers in the package, and it was very difficult to figure out where they were supposed to go without instructions- eventually YouTube got me straightened out. The legs feel a little on the flimsy side, I really have to tighten the wingnuts down hard to make sure they don't move, which makes me worry I might wear them out quickly. But I am really enjoying using it so far.

Love the adjustability & storarge
I bought one of these for my wife as a gift and decided to start painting with her when I got the chance. Now that I've had a few opportunities to try out some of her different easels, I went right back and bought myself one of these. They are beautiful (the finish isn't anything fancy, but you're going to get paint on it), sturdy if you tighten the when-nuts well and super adjustable. I'm a 6' tall guy and this thing puts painting right up in my comfort range no problem.Plenty of storage and the tray locks securely.Holds the canvas firm.

Perfect easel
I can't express how much I love my new easel. It doesn't have directions, but you really don't need them. It was easy to figure out and took about 5 minutes to set it up. I'm impressed how sturdy it is, and I love that it can be folded up into a carry case. I thought for sure for the price it would be wobbly, but after I tightened all the parts it was very sturdy. I paid about $100 less on Amazon then I would have if I purchased it at Michael's. So since I always wanted one but refused to pay $180 for one, I thought why not, and I could not be happier.

I always wanted one now I got one
It is great and I love the way it looks and three legs make it sturdier but if you use pastels like I do you have to get a clipboard to go with it because it’s really made for canvases and wood frames but it’s really nice. I wanted one is for years

BROKE ONE WEEK INTO USE; WASTE OF MONEY.
I am an art student and I bought this for my painting course, where we do plein air. After one decent use of the easel, literally right after my first class, the screw that supports the support beam for the back leg SNAPS off and my easel came crashing down. I ended up having to put a vaguely similar screw of my own in order to proceed with my homework. The screws and wingnuts are cheaply made and not even *correctly* placed inside the easel. The screws are easily unbalanced and scrape/indent the wood a lot. Not to mention, the legs are EXTREMELY wobbly and made me question multiple times on whether or not this was a $90 easel, or a $25 one.I wouldn't recommend this easel, especially for this price.Trust me, if I could give this product zero stars, I would. The Monet easel is excessively better than this piece of junk while being in the SAME price range.

Nice looking, and workable, but doesn't feel sturdy. Very awkward
I purchased 20 easels for teaching, they are beautiful looking, but the construction seems a little cheaply done. The legs are not secure even when screwed tightly. When you're carrying the easel, often the folded up legs just fall out of their secure hook up. The whole thing is pretty awkward, and many were missing screws or screws did not fit properly.
