Q: is there a lock included so they cannot be stolen ?

Sorry we have been looking for a key'd spin knob but have not been able to find one. No lock at this time.

Q: My tires are spaced 17" apart, which is said to be max extension for these chocks. Will they still hold solid at their maximum extension?

They worked on mine but I'm not sure of the exact spacing. I'll have to check. I did choose this one because our trailer has axels that are spaced pretty far apart, and most units only went up to 10" - 11"
