Great read
Really well written book. Really informative and straight forward. I’ve read a few books about cutting sugar and some are very technical and scientific to the point they are a difficult read. This book had a good balance of both scientific information but easy to read for just an average reader like myself.I feel very motivated to start my sugar free journey after reading this

Mainly recipes
Whilst I agree completely with the premise of this book- processed sugar is a highly addictive drug that damages our health- and applaud anyone taking steps to reduce their consumption of it, I feel there are much more informative and useful books out there to help with this transition. Most of this book is taken up with recipes, which is fine if you are looking for a cook book. After having stated at the outset how highly addictive and dangerous to health processed sugar is, the author then recommends at the end of the book that you try and moderate it so that you can still ‘reward yourself’. Reward myself with an addictive substance that harms me? No thanks. Would you advise someone addicted to smoking to ‘reward themselves’ with an occasional cigarette? It’s contradictory and makes no sense.I want to leave sugar behind forever and be free of it. For anyone else wishing to do the same I highly recommend Jason Vale’s Freedom From the Diet Trap and Fat Chance by Robert Lustig. Much more useful information in both of those.I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my review.
