I have 2 micro usb adapters installed for mine and my wife's android phones and an iPhone connector (I have it because its my work phone). With the Otterbox Defender (the big one) case on my iPhone it wouldn't connect to the charger dock, so I bought this extender and it works perfectly. Fits through the case and allows me to dock my phone at night without removing my case. Well worth the couple bucks it cost. Review: Works fine as connector extender for iPod nano 4th gen - I got this adapter to use with an older generation iPod nano because for my original Bose SoundDock and another docking speaker I own the iPod 30-pin connector was no longer making a good connection. This seems to really help with that issue. It adds a bit of bulk and a lot of height to the nano, but I'm satisfied. Durability so far (a couple of months) doesn't seem to be an issue. It's sometimes a little hard to attach to a dock connector because the female side is off-center toward the back edge of the adapter. I searched everywhere for an Extender and was unsuccessful. I should have checked on AMAZON first and from now on will do that....you can find everything here!!!
