Italian Pottery Cheese Container - Glass Cheese Holder with Vacuum System

Love this container. It's a perfect size for a small wedge of quality real cheese. The vacume seal works beautifully, along with the quick release button. It definitely keeps the cheese fresh, and having it read on hand for pasta, soup, or salads it convenient. No more need for fake Parmesan in a plastic container full of preservatives. It's well made, and fairly hardy for glass. I wouldn't say it isn't shatterproof if dropped, but it should should up under normal care of any glass object... so it will withstand the vacuum sealing it was ment to handle well.

Keeps the cheese fresh but it is very hard to open once you suck out the air. I bought it for my grandmother and it’s very hard for her to use.

I was skeptical buying this due to cost. I didn’t think it would be worth it, but I really liked the design and size. Once I received it, I was pleased with the quality, ease of use, size, functionality, and thus far airtight ability. I haven’t used it long to fully determine airtight quality, but thus far, it’s working well and looks nice on the table when using and it’s easy to return to refrigerator and store. I’m happy with my purchase!

I bought two of these and am disappointed in the seal. It seals and then it loses it in the refrigerator. I still use them, but find I am constantly resealing.

We found the cheese didn’t last much longer in this jar than if it was stored in Tupperware. Expensive and failed to keep the cheese fresh.
