Wow, these are incredible. They aren’t like your usual papery slightly sweet tasting animal crackers. These actually melt in your mouth. They almost taste like a vanilla flavored cotton candy or maybe like those coconut macaroons, but without the coconut flavor? All I know is that these are addictive and they taste better than any gluten cookie I’ve ever had. Nobody would know these are gluten free. Don’t let that “pea starch” ingredient fool you. There is no aftertaste, nothing but a super hit of pure sugar tasting goodness.

I bought a box of these for my son from my local health food store, since he has multiple food allergies. I was really pleased to have found an animal cookie that he was able to eat. What I didn't expect was that they were going to be so good. Like other reviewers have mentioned, they taste like a shortbread cookie, and are really nice and crisp, but not grainy. We have started using them as a reward for potty-training, so the first box went pretty fast. I was glad to see Amazon carry them, so I quickly ordered a pack of 6 boxes. It seems like a lot of cookies, but I know we'll go through them. (Especially now, since I have started to steal a few!)

When my husband was diagnosed gluten intolerant after years of misery, we thought that a holiday staple was gone forever. He was thrilled when I made the first batch of GF rum balls he could eat after a two year dry spell. Being adults, we don't eat them plain but if you want a perfect replacement for vanilla wafers in your rum balls these are just the ticket!Update - Well, now I'm on Gluten Free diet too and these are a life saver. I dip one end of them in dark chocolate for a quick tea biscuit when I have company and they are a great nibble. I discovered that the rum balls are just oh, so good too!

I really like kinnikinnick's products but unfortunately, they keep delivering the wrong item and returns aren't allowed. I guess I'm done buying their products. I've emailed the company regarding these screwed up orders and have received no response. Save your money and find another gluten free product.

I am gluten intolerant, and have a sweet tooth :) These cookies are not too sweet, but sweet enough.They are the best cooky I have found, in my two years gluten free. I order them 5 at a time, for an addeddiscount. I love them with milk/or gluten free frozen vanilla yogurt. Get these SOON- you won't be sorry.I no longer any gluten cookies and have to throw them away, b/c they are so awful- I found the best glutenfree cookies- in fact the are the best cookies of any kind :)

I purchased these cookies as a treat for my daughters class for the holiday season. Treats are somewhat difficult as there are both dairy and nut allergies in the classroom. Instead of coming up with a creative recipe, I ordered these cookies. I was familiar with kinnikinnick foods and have had their gluten free bread previous to trying these cookies (with a positive experience). So, off I went to school with 4 of the 6 boxes I purchased. I would certainly refer to these as "cookies" instead of "crackers". Even though traditional animal crackers are a cookie, I find this brand to be somewhat sweeter. They have a softer texture and remind me more of a sugar cookie than an animal cracker. I found them to be quite yummy. I wish the texture were slightly less powdery, especially in the hands of children. Overall, for an allergy free treat, they are on mark. Keep in mind, they are high in sugar and really are a treat and not an every day staple.

I bought these because we have chosen to put our son on a Gluten Free/ Casein Free diet. Animal Crackers are his favorite treat and these hit the spot. He absolutely loves these cookies. I find them to be a bit sweet, but I also don't eat a lot of sweet foods, so this could just be a personal taste issue. As with any sweet item moderation is the key. These cookies have helped to make the transition from a regular diet to a special diet easier for my child as they're something he really enjoys. I highly recommend these for those who need a special diet.
