Stainless Steel Coffee Filter Indian Style

In the South Indian style, using Indian Monsooned Malabar home roasted beans, also bought from Amazon. You get the whole experience. Little did I know that coffee is quite the Indian tradition in Southern India. I had always thought Indians only drank tea. Following the directions produces a dark rich coffee delight. Use an expresso grind and dark roast your beans.

This is the traditional coffee filter to make South Indian style filter coffee, and it works really well. I dinged it one star because separating the 2 compartments can be a little hard as the two cylinders fit quite tightly. Could have been engineered with better quality/thicker steel.

If you love authentic Indian style drip coffee, this is the product for you.

To the others complaining about the capacity: I'm not sure you understand how South Indian filter coffee is supposed to be made. It's closer to espresso (in quantity) than it is American coffee, meaning you don't need a large volume of liquid. You're supposed to add it to hot milk.Anyway, this item does the job, but it's rather poorly made. The steel has sharp edges and you'll cut yourself if you're not careful. But, more importantly, it's thin steel and you can easily deform the item, which prevents the lid from fitting on easily.All in all, it will do the job, but if you can find a better quality item, buy that one instead.

Product is very tiny and doesn't look like as it's advertised. Received damaged and returned the product. Not worth for what we pay.
