Excellent product
This sounds meter works very well and will help me record neighbour nuisance so our housing management can deal with them. The vendor needs another 5 stars for including a very small screwdriver to open the battery compartment. No one has ever done that before. The meter also comes with a soft cloth carrying case and a printed instruction booklet. Perfect!

Sound Level Meter
Great handheld meter with dbA/dbC, fast/slow mode, noise measurement options. Very easy to use, accurate and excellent value for money. Measures down to 30dbA.

Works well enough
It's easy to use and the numbers get bigger when sound gets louder. I've no way of calibrating this so I don't know if it's consistent at measuring but it seems to do the job well enough. I used it when testing noise cancelling headphones to set a level consistent with plane cabin noise levels and also to set flat EQ on some audio gear.

Way better than using a phone
I tried a few apps on my phone and quickly discovered that my pixel 6 wouldn't ever read more than 90 decibels I used this meter with my grand piano - with the lid closed, half closed and fully open - and all the readings were in line with what I read they should be - about 80-90db closed and 90-115 with it open - playing at moderate levels Based on that I am relatively confident this device gives credible readings and would recommend it It also comes in a nice case which doesn't take up much room and makes it easy to store the device safely Not surprised that it has loads of good reviews

Affordable For General Purpose Use | Not Precise Enough For Professional Work
A compact and easy use to digital sound level meter that some may find worthwhile for casual use. However, it's worth noting that it's a Class 2 rated product, and is therefore not capable of precise enough measurement to satisfy professional standards.

Easy to use
Important to verify noise level as evidence when complaining to council, they acted on this as for years it had only been our word against there word, they were able to act with this evidence.

Ok
Got it for noisy neighbours but doesn’t pick up what I hear, it’s ok for bangs and knocking.

I run a mobile DJ business and picked this up to keep an eye on sound levels during events and setups. It’s simple to use, lightweight, and easy to read, which is exactly what I wanted. The display is clear with a useful backlight, and the max hold feature makes it easy to check peak levels without constantly watching the screen. It gives consistent readings and is great for getting a quick SPL reference when dialing in volume. It’s small enough to throw in a gear bag and doesn’t require any complicated setup. For general monitoring at events, rehearsals, or testing spaces, this has been a solid and reliable tool.

If you've ever had a recurring noise complaint, you may have tried to use a db meter on your cellphone. What I quickly found out is that the city doesn't really take db apps on your phone seriously. But once you get a professional db meter then everything changes. It's no longer a debate about IF there is loud noise, it just moves on to how to fix it. Highly recommended!
